Sometimes the "evidence" is rather funny, like "Hey! It's the same white light, indoctrination!" or "Shepard has blue eyes, like TIM, indoctrination!"

Absolutely not, no need XD
Now, destroy it.... well, if someone who doesnt believe in it participates in any discussion about it... what do you expect would happen >_>?
I approve of the idea of the "theory" as in, since the ending was supposed to be completely done by the player, his imagination and speculations, then those who believe in the IT are free to believe in it, all they have to do is imagine and speculate on what would happen after Shepard woke up, not ask\\demand for it to be adapted into the game or ask others to accept it, simple.
Also, IT believers might want to not go anywhere near the EC, since im pretty sure it will just drive the point that its not real, this is, obviously, my opinion XD

Indoctrinated Shepard, obviously. The only way there could be more than one shooter is if the entire thing happened in Shepard's head. When he wakes up in the rubble, JFK will be there helping rebuild humanity.

yeah I watched the IT documentry (it was entertaining and had me thinking) but when he brings up "white light Shepard is indoctrinated" he was pushing it too much.mauro2222 wrote...

Best part of the "blue eyes" thing is the IM had blue eyes the whole time, I think it was some sort of implant. Or are they assuming he was indoctrinated the whole time, not just at the end when they implanted him.

Absolutely! If only more people were aware of the clearly obvious clues, they'd know the facts.

Se, this is the problem. You choose to express your opinion by belittling those of a differing opinion. Many believers do this too. In both cases it's wrong and should stop.

WRONG. TIM originally got his blue eys from a reaper artifact in the first contact wars.
Every cycel has an indoctrinated splinter group that thinks they can control the reapers. It's sad but TIM is just a pawn in a larger game.
As Neo would say, "It's just another form of control."

You are completely misinterpretating the Reaper's intentions. They don't need us for survival, in fact, it's the other way around. They exist to ensure organics will always survive.balance5050 wrote...
Control-
The reapers LOVE to control, it's what they are all about. They have left technology scattered around the galaxy in order to control our evolutionary path, they control our future by forcing the most advanced civilizations to become them, there is practically NO aspect of life that they don't control in one way or another
Synthesis-
The reapers have always regarded themselves as the most advanced civilization, they ARE the prime example of synthesis, it's not pretty. They ARE the alpha predator and DON'T consider pure organics or pure synthetics to be anything more than fuel or nuisances. They believe that synthesis is the best evolutionary model to live by.
Destroy-
One thing the Catalyst says that rings true is they DO preserve life, they let organics live simply because they need us for survival, to destroy is to create chaos, but out of that chaos rises freedom, a new beginning, and infinite possibilities.
An immortal species like the Reapers have no need for reproduction.
Then there is fallacy by association. That because the Reapers believe synthesis is a good option, you simply can't agree with it but be against their method of synthesis that involde liquification.
Not to mention that Synthesis completely disagrees with the Reaper's phylosophy. They believed that for organics to survive, synthetics had to be destroyed. Synthesis presents an options where both species can survive albeit with certain changes.
Infinite possibilites will appear out of changing the fundamental way the universe works which happens in all endings. Choosing instead to believe it is exclusive to Destroy is just being stubborn.

I see, well then, I guess it's possible he was indoctrinated the whole time. Though he did work to destroy the Collectors, which I'm not sure an indoctrinated person would have done.

Why do you guys get angry and try to destroy other's theory about the game. It doesnt hurt or offend you. I dont believe Bioware could write something as complex as IT but if some people like it, I dont go into threads arguing. I let them have their theories and fun, Isnt that what the creators of Mass Effect wanted speculation from everyone.
Just thought I would ask since I see alot of people that HATE IT.
And you just lumped us all together in one big group.
I don't believe in IT, but I don't go around picking fights or name-calling because of it.
The only time I get seriously offended is when pro-IT people tell me IT is the only thing to believe and start insulting me or others because we don't buy it.
And there are people on both sides who act like their theory is the only one that's correct and treat opposing views as idiotic. If you're going to call out one group of people, then you need to do so to the others as well.

LOL all day long at this post.
You have completly submitted to reaper indoctrination. Have fun justifying making a profound decision for everyone on the subatomic level.....
Also, you've homegenized all the races so a single supervirus can kill us all, also, terminator Krogans that will multiply to max density.
