Perhaps time to sharpen your Moderator teeth?

Again, reporting a post is all well and good, but moderators don't get those notifications. If there's a serious transgression, then PM a mod about it, don't just report it.

Really? I don't understand why post reporting wouldn't go to a mod, isn't that the mod's jurisdiction?Astorax wrote...
Don't know if I'd say SERIOUS amount of spoilers...that was pretty moderate compared to a lot of what we see, but yes, it's been moved to the gameplay (SPOILERS) forum.

Still, anyway, many thanks for your efforts.

Ahh, that makes sense now. Many thanks for the info!Kevin Lynch wrote...
Reporting a post goes to the EA main dudes, not to moderators, and they have uber-powers of taking care of business. Think of us mods as the first line of defense and EA folks as the big guns. "Report this post" is really for things that aren't general forum annoyances.

I'm still annoyed that BioWare took it upon themselves to tell us who the companions were before the game was released.
And even if they hadn't, the XP mechanic makes it obvious which companions are only temporary.

People putting something like : "Since Aeris death cutscene, I can't progress forward in the game!"
I also just got spoiled on the Home page of social.bioware.com with the Recent Posts thing. Someone had a spoilerish title and I saw it without meaning to! I'll look into it but I hope there's an option to remove that annoying section. Actually the whole right column can go as far as I'm concerned.

The Xbox technical forum is the same. Actually I think that I'm going to just stop coming here. A Bioware social network may have been a good idea in theory (much like a KotoR MMO), yet in practice it is not a very welcoming or enjoyable atmosphere, especially for the console players or for those wanting to play through at a slower pace. There are too many subject spoilers (learned two new ones upon arriving this evening, kinda pissed me off actually), and many of the threads I'm reading devolve into aggressive arguing or mean spiritedness, usually about nothing.HemisH wrote...
The technical PC forum is also plagued by those.
Anyway, yeah... well thanks for all the fish.

So this forum is to be used for worthless bickering about game elements which shall not be named because it may spoil whatever to whomever and Bioware golf clap threads?
Are you serious? If people are going to a forum entitled general dicussion about a game they should expect substantive talk about said game which again, substantive would obviously include spoilers.
I'm truly lost on what exactly these forums are for if you can't talk about the game or ask questions about the game.

Basically you don't want people discussing the game in the forum. That's pretty hilarious. So outside of so called "spoilers" and technical help what exactly are people supposed to create threads about in here? Their crappy game reviews...oh wait that would mean spoilers, how about a question on where your character can learn....damn, spoiler!

Too much effort. Much easier to be oblivious and crude.

Reading helps. And before you post anything in the non-spoiler section, because you can't post in the spoiler section... register your game, because that's what it takes to unlock them.Red-Cell wrote...

There is enough general talk about the game without spoilering story elements, important npcs, etc. One general rule is actually read before you post. Just a humble suggestion.

I understand they want to advertise, and I have no problem with that. It's just seriously hypocritical to delete threads for spoilers, and even more hypocritical to start a thread titled "spoilers and this forum", then write...
Astorax wrote...
To be extra clear.
Posting a spoiler in this forum is unacceptable (for any reason I don't care if your house burned down and you don't have the CD key anymore and didn't register it before the house burned). If you are found to be doing it repeatedly, a warning will be issued. If the warning is not honored, further action will be taken.
...then sticky it directly under another STICKY titled "Dragon Age: The Calling Discussion thread - (*SPOILERS*)", which itself is located only 4 threads below another topic titled "Questions about Return to Ostagar? *SPOILERS*"
If the Devs don't take this forum seriously, how do you expect other forumites to?
