 I believe I was looking at this the wrong way, when I thought about minimum graphics on things like bf3 or gta 4, i thought more along the lines of hlaf life 2 minimum settings, which look like crap.

how bad does bf3 and other modern games look in minimum settings? does it look like half life 2, left 4 dead, or like modern xbox games?

I am not one of those people who obsessizes over graphics. Halo 1 graphics look fine to me. half life 2 is even better.
half life source is really pushing the limit.

the last laptop I had stoped playing shooter graphics comfterbly at half life 2/BF2(they are both great on high)
( does anyone else think that they look almost the same in graphics?)

but still, since Im buying a new computer, i want it to last while playing games with good graphics.

So what type of graphics will I get at the low settings, remember Im used to worse.

one more thing, the laptop Im buying has slightly better specs to the one in this video for 400$ less
