If you talk to any of the guys near the very top of the leaderboard, it sure does matter... They will say anything to make you believe this.

Don't get me wrong, I promote my characters and therefore have a 1300ish N7, but it's more for the challenge of using sub-par characters than just climbing up the leaderboards.

*scoffs* Please. I don't care about anyone's N7 rating in my games. All I'm interested in doing is having a good time, and get the creds I need to buy more packs. If you've got a problem with us who don't promote often because we're sick of re-leveling everything, and re-customizing everything, then take your rather bad trolling somewhere else. It's not needed nor appreciated. My N7 is 119, and I'm proud of it, because I don't get to play often.

Yeah, when I'm hosting I like to netstat to get the IP address of everyone connected to my game, hack their webcams if they've got them and kick them if they're too ugly...

Haha, the troll threads on this forum are nice to see after reading through the depressing ****storms in every other thread.

Serious side-note: I checked the global leaderboards a while back and only the top 1000 players or so had an N7 rank of 1000 or higher. It's probably a lot more by now, but I thought it was interesting.
The #1 guy had over 15000, which looked mighty suspicious since the next several were only in the 8000's.

I was in a public match once were one of the guys had a score over 6000. He fell asleep during the second game we played but he was really good.

N7 status does not matter. I saw a 5000 N7 bleed out five times and then rage-quit against Geth on FBW.
