You realize you just proved the Catalyst's point, right? Besides, the Catalyst is right because Bioware says.
Deal with it.
So, what you're saying is that if the Catalyst said, "Tomorrow go out and rape 5000 children; then sacrifice them onto me," it would be justifide.

You're speaking in hypotheticals, building strawmen is a very weak debate method.

No. Not to me. But, my morality is subjective.
Then what the Catylist says isn't nessisarily justifide... It could be, as IT believers contend, Harbinger trying to convice the player using faulty logic. It could also be that space brat is suffering from dementia (If you belive that he created the Reaper then he must be over 50,000 years old... probably millions of years old), and, as someone who has lived with someone sufferng from that disease, you shouldn't take anything he says seriously.

The same can be said for you.
No one thing is perfect. Nor are there any perfect solutions. But there are better alternatives, hundreds even, to any situation you're presented with. Limiting yourself to another's point of view, as Legion so eloquently put it, blinds you all other outcomes.

Ultimately I would dismiss his claims.

Catalyst objectively has the ONLY solutions.
Except for the fact that he doesn't.
A real solution would be to use reaper tech to take away the ability to create synthetics. It has been shown that reapers can control people's thoughts, why not have a subtle block to keep them from creating synthetics? It's simple, eligant, and does not result in mass genocide.

or
Shepard: That's great kid, now where are your parents?
or
Shepard: (Heading toward the red light) This WILL hurt you.
or
Shepard: Damn if I'd have know there would be a kid here I'd have brought the dog as a distraction. (think DAO PUPPIES!)

Just for fun, let's assume there is no dialogue wheel. No dialogue wheel, no Bioware, no Artistic Integrity, none of it. Let's also assume that each one of us is our Shepard. How would you respond to the Catalyst and his...erm...ahem "logic"?
"You serious mah boy?"
If he says yes...

If that didn't work, order Hackett to disengage the Crucible and ram it into the Cidatel because starchild is controlling the Reapers, if we destroy him, Reapers may be disorganised enough to do some very serious damage before they (if) the reorganise themselves.

I didn't take him all that seriously. He always struck me as a damaged AI. He's obviously deluded since he thinks he controls the Reapers but he can't actually get them to do anything without the Crucible.
So how I'd respond to him is pretty much the way Shep does in game. Arguing with this thing would be as useless as arguing with Sovereign or the Noveria VI.
(That's probably why I didn't have a big problem with the ending)
