 I understand that tactical cloak benefit supposedly lasts for a second or more after the first shot. But what if you break cloak by using a power and then immediately firing a shot?

For example, let's say your salarian infiltrator is cloaked and you use energy drain immediately followed by a shot.  Do still get that damage bonus if you fire that shot in time, or is it wasted because you need to break cloak with a shot first?

I ask because if I can get away with using my power followed by a shot and retain bonus, I can go with sniper damage on Rank 6 of cloak instead of being able to use a power while cloaked.

This queastion also applies to, say, a quarian infiltrator who uses sabotage to stagger first then fire her shot within that second.
