It is good that you liked and enjoyed it fine sir but to assume that everyone who hated it didnt understand or pay attention to it is F***ing stupid.PrivateJoker17 wrote...
And found the ending to be incredibly moving, jaw dropping and astounding. I was in awe for those final thirty minutes and have to admit a tear came to my eye. I've been a fan since the original release back in '07 and had been looking forward to the game for two years before that. Mass Effect is my favourite franchise, I've played through the first two countless times and honestly this was one of the best endings in gaming for me and I couldn't be happier.
But I'm confused, why is there overwhelming hate for this ending? Did people not understand it? Did people not pay attention in the past three games? This was a perfect end to the trilogy. I'll admit there weren't too many choices to be made in those final two hours, but really, who cares? The ending wrapped things up quite well and even gave us a bit extra, in true Bioware fashion.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, am I the only one who feels this way? If so, please explain why, please tell me why so many people hate the ending, because I'm just baffled.

I just finished it too, and in all honesty it wasn't as bad as everyone's making it out to be.
I just would've liked to see what happened to all my crew. I chose SYNTHESIS, saw EDI and Joker, and even Kaidan at the end, but nobody else. I felt like they should've given more closure especially since it was the end of the trilogy...

You didn't understand the ending if you believe that.Or, was it the part where Shepard simply believes the star
kid when the star kid all along has been the evil puppet master behind
the reapers-meaning he is the big nasty in the game?

Personally all I want is an epilogue explaining what happened to my squad and the various races afterwards. The epilogue taking into account most decisions made throughout the trilogy including the destroy/synthesis/control option.
But please could the developers put more effort into multiplayer. It is the most bugged, glitched ridden, disconnect ridden, unfinished feature in the game? All single player needs is an epilogue.
Multiplayer needs:
new patches.
New game modes (aside form 11 waves of hell which is fun by the way).
A campaign.
New maps etc.

Believe what? That the SC is responsible for a cycle of mass genocides on an incomprehensible scale, planned to be continued for all eternity? That, urm, is fact.
Does he have the good intentions? He says so, and maybe he believes so. Still he doesn't provide us with any evidence to back up the fear that drove him into starting the cycle, and we know that he can't have proof of it happening. So he is acting on quite questionable motives, yet we can't question him.
Does the fact that it all makes sense in his twisted mind make him any less 'the big nasty'? I really don't see how.

I want to be VERY clear on this. If you like the endings, great. If you do not like the endings, that is fine too. HOWEVER if someone comes in here saying they like/disliek the ending DO NOT bash them for their opinion. Leaping in and telling people that they are an idiot for liking the ending or for disliking it or believing IT or disbelieving IT or whatever is NOT allowed here.
People deliberately disdaining each other, insulting and takign threads off topic WILL be banned for their actions.
Any more spoilers or insults and more bans will be handed out and the thread will be closed with teh people responsible being banned.
To the OP, I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Hopefully, you'll enjoy teh Extended Cut and future DLC as well.
