Hopped in a quick Bronze game to get my newly level 1 Sentinel a few levels before Silver.  Saw a 400-ish level guy trying to explain to a 20-ish level guy why carrying a Saber and a Valiant on an Engineer wasn't the best plan.  He mentioned cooldown and the guy says his powers are always ready after a few seconds anyway because he got a special faster cooldown rate as a pre-order bonus.  :?

He also said it was a waste of time to go to the ammo boxes because you get more ammo after each round anyway.

I then muted the voice chat on my headset before my brain leaked out my nose.

I usually just hear users who think they know everything and anything about ME3 giving bad advice to new users. I.E. Someone was talking about this weeks event saying too get Commendation you needed to kill 3 million Banshees, and that it had to be done on gold. I don't know people giving mis-information just bugs me.

Also people who play music over their mics and don't talk...at all. Me and my friend were having a conversation and I couldn't even hear her over his static with a poor mix of rap. We immediately had him kicked after the match.

My blood pressure is rising just recalling the memories of the countless times I've endured this in every game ever that had a mic function.

I'm having difficulty unmuting them again. Every setting I can see allows it now, but... Still silent.

Today I experienced something more annoying than the broken Reave sound. I have no clue what it came from; it was this repetitive and rapid clicking sound and it lasted a couple minutes. Like a playing card in bicycle spokes. Ugh, horrible.

edit- And boy am I glad I chose to get the game for PC. No one ever talks or leaves their mic on. (Though, whenever I turn on a podcast or listen to music while I play, I end up getting matched up with people that actually talk.)

Was it a repeating sound from the game or one of the idiots who feel the world needs to hear them speak while rocking a mic next to a desk fan or a screaming child?

This is part of the reason why I made a thread asking what kind of things people would want to hear.

Although, doing some testing with a friend of mine, the in-game voice-chat provides such poor quality that I decided against playing music during matches. No matter how good the music may be, by my opinion or anyone else's, the drop in quality would just make it "meh" or worse to listen to.

Pretty sure it was the former.

On PC the voice-waves are pretty peaceful. Even when you wish someone would scream about the brute coming up on your rear... silence :pinched:

Don't really hear much from people, but one sound I HATE are banshee screams. Especially multiple ones.

Someone thought it'd be funny to blast a loud high pitch ringing sound every time they made a kill, I think it was from team fortress. I did not know how to mute them so I purposely lead a banshee to him and ran away.

We lost the silver match and I left as soon as I could.

Oh I play PC and while most people are pretty chill, the bad ones stick out.

Being an Ozzie I end up getting into matchs with Indians who think that playing rap songs and sticking plastic zipties into desk fans in the background while having the 'always on' function on their mics is conductive to gameplay.

Sadly, the worst I run into on the PC is...well...for lack of a better term "mouth-breathers". They have their mic set to always on and literally all match you hear wet breathy sounds.

This one person had a very loud static sound coming from their mic the entire game. It was unbelievably loud. It drowned out the sound of the entire game. I thought it was my TV breaking at first, but as soon as I muted them it went away,

My condolences to your ears!

Maybe it's the timezone difference or maybe I'm just really lucky.

Or having thier kids screaming and yelling and the person playing (I'm guessing the father, but in this day and age, you never know) yelling back and then the other two people in the game yelling over that trying to get him to shut it off and the guy responding by yelling EVEN LOUDER for the other guys to SHUT THE FU-

And that's when I left the game and went to get a bottle of ibuprophen. :?

A guy attempting to rap with no beat. It was terribad. After laughing heartily on my own mic, he was quick to mute himself after a few choice words.

I laughed pretty hard.

Oh the day will come, and you'll think back to this thread even as the tinny, staticy rendition of '99 problems and a fine, respectable lady ain't one' loops for the third time.

Sounds like a Graal being charged up. You can hear it when you stand near people with a charged Graal, it lasts until they fire it and starts when they begin charging again.

There are some terrible offenders on PSN. I've had mouth breathers, people whose kids are talking incessantly to them, and a guy calling a bowling alley looking for open lanes.
