Who cares about retaking Omega? Once the relays blow up everyone there is dead anyway. Either from the relay explosion or from starvation after a while.
My take as well
"Well Aria. We did it! I risked my life and managed to pull myself away from that whole annoying 'Reapers killing everyone' thing to save your station. By the way though, don't bother unpacking. You have about five days before this place gets the living hell blown out of it by the two relays surrounding you. Okay then. lol bye"

The three choices is still the ending, it’s not changing.

I will say this about the EC though: if you have to explain your artistic vision to the bulk of your audience, you've failed as an artist. As BioWare has refused to openly admit such failure, their odds of succeeding with a new cut are very slim.

Some of us actually like the game and would like to see extra content.

theres a difference between liking the game and being completely pissed that the ending destroys the franchise in the last five minutes.
You have to work really hard to destroy a franchise built on scientific basis but bioware figured out how to do it.

If you think the franchise is destroyed then you obviously don't like it anymore.

HAHA, I love the franchise, not a fan of the choice being railroaded, but I can deal with that, what I can't deal with is the fact that the starchilds very existence in ME3 completely invalidates ME1's storyline or the fact that ME2's story line is ocmpletely invalidated by the illusive mans base, I loved those two games to death and played them multiple times, but when ME3 assumed that the events of those two games didn't happen, ME3 stopped being mass effect. As far as i'm concerned Mass effect 3 is still being developed because mass effect 3 would signify the conclusion to a trilogy and the whole Priority EARTH sequence hints that there wasn't a trilogy to begin with.
EDIT: had to explain my position better slightly.

A lot of the key missions in ME3 involved choices from previous games. The Rachni and the Ending shine the brightest because people remember negative things much more than positive things.
As to the overall point of your post, fair enough.

I hate the ending. I absolutely loathe, despise, abhor, and every other synonym out there to describe the amount of passion with which I dislike the ending.
And I think that the EC is a complete waste of time. They've said that they aren't changing their artistic vision, which means that the EC will solve absolutely nothing. I don't need you to try and explain why your stupid ending really isn't stupid. I want you to come up with something better, and if you're not willing to do that, then don't bother. Go make DLC's for the people who will actually want to play them.
I agree with this. I really don't see a point in "explaining" something with what? 4 minutes of small cutscenes? The ending #@€@##, all of it, they should change it from scratch.
And about Omega DLC....ermmm...i wouldn't buy it....in fact, the only reason im going to give EC a chance it's because it will be free and Bioware deserves a second chance, but after that i'm done until they make a really good game and not this kind of crap. That means, no more prebuying anything related to Mass Effect until other poor bastards buy and end the game.

Nothing. Not one thing.
All you know is that the current endings are not changing.
You don't know if the extended cut will explain those endings to perfection. You don't know if it'll be terrible. You don't know if there will be gameplay. You don't know if it'll be just cinematics or a giant Powerpoint slideshow. You don't know if it'll be the most awesome thing ever.
The fact remains: YOU DON'T FREAKING KNOW.
So please, keep making yourselves look like complete idiots. It's really giving me a good laugh throughout the day.

The unavoidable Relay destruction renders the whole thing moot at the end of the day, all it would really achieve is adding some more faceless numbers to the GAW

You know the extended ends just going to be star brat explaining more and some pointless new colour explosion. This has taken time away from planned dlc which was clearly going to be omega. I wanna go Funky dancing and pull me some asari
Me too! (preferrably Aria)
