Still periodically getting the invalid persona/game combination, sent a pm to Jeff Roussell with the url (on one occasion, since I didn't think you'd want to be flooded with the data).
My characters are now appearing and updating, somewhat sporadically, in my profile. Still no way to use my characters as an avatar (a minor niggle).
More importantly, the diagnostic is still showing a considerable number of characters that I've long deleted both from the site and ingame, with files attached, which ofc clog up storage. Since I have 10 extant characters, in addition to the 8 or so defunct ones, that storage is an issue. I hope there'll soon be a way to get rid of those remnants *sigh*.

If you are receiving the the message "Invalid persona/game combination" please PM me the URL you get for the diagnostics page. This error should only show up if the URL is not properly formed.
PM sent, and I'm tagging this topic for future reference.

Question: is it possible that those pesky files are in the Dragon Age Album? Which we can no longer edit or delete. It seems to me that these 'remnant' files started to proliferate around the time that ability was removed. Of course, that could be coincidence, but ...
Further question: If that IS where they are lurking, could we have some functionality returned to us that will enable us to choose to delete the folder and create a new one - or (for preference) to edit the contents of the folder, deleting individual files connected to defunct characters?

Problem: the diagnostic tool shows that files are stored on the server, taking up limited storage space, despite the characters having been deleted from our profile page and ingame.
The diagnostics page lists how may of the uploaded files are screenshots.

The screenshots are uploaded by the game - the "Dragon age album" merely shows what the game already uploaded.

To get rid of already-uploaded screenshots, use the "manage screenshots" page from your player profile.
To prevent the game from uploading more screenshots, change your upload options in-game.

I turned off 'upload screenshots' weeks ago. And I've been using the 'manage screenshots' and 'manage character' pages to delete unwanted ones.
Nevertheless, the diagnostic lists many (10) characters are STILL EXISTING somewhere even though they are NOT on my character page. They DID exist once, have been deleted, and yet there are still files on the server taking up space. (I actually have 9 characters still current, but there were another 10 that I've deleted.) Each of those no-longer-existant characters has some files on the server (says the diagnostic) some have story xml, some other files, some have only 1 file, others up to 3. Is there no way to get rid of them?

The Social Site has enhanced my enjoyment of the game tremendously as I like being able to track and share my characters and achievements in this fashion. Conversely, my overall enjoyment of the game (and desire to play) has actually somewhat diminished to the "quirkiness" of the site's behavior. I know it is in Beta. I accept that. It's just very frustrating that its most basic use is what is giving me the most difficulty.
Some help, Bioware?

Click here to view this player's other profiles.
Scary. So I click there and yes, I've got two profiles. What's the solution?
Two persona_id numbers:
persona_id=213597855 <-- This is what I think is what I normally see just logging into the website.
persona_id=217394882 < -- This is what I see if I click through the in-game "Online Profile" button.

There isn't one. If you read further up this very thread you'll see that many people (myself included) have this problem. We are advised that they're aware of the problem, they're working on it, and we hope that one day there'll be a solution. In the meantime, just select the profile that the game uploads data to when you want to view your characters, delete screenies, etc.

I also removed all my screenshots by hand, but there is one left which I can remove many times over several days, but it still remains.
Please PLEASE give me a remove all option for screenshots! Clicking on 67 of them by hand several times for server lag isn't fun at all.

Why do some of us have multiple personas? I have 2 of them, and my first persona is basically obsolete as nothing gets uploaded there anymore. What caused the creation of this in the first place? Also, is there going to be a way to merge personas, or just delete one completely?

If I were to delete my Bioware Social account, will I be able to re-register another under the same email and register DA:O PC with the same serial key? Will I be able to re-claim my DLCs based on my key?

Draetor, I don't believe you will be able to do this, as that is exactly what I tried to do myself. (I'm that blocky smile face a few posts up). Since responses don't seem to be incredibly swift to this issue (I understand this may be because the work to get it fixed takes longer than the typical Internet users attention span :-) , so I'm not taking a shot at the devs or web admins), I intend to email EA.com's customer support and see if they can remove mysterious "other" Dragon Age PC persona which is kind of updating as intended (no character portraits on a few, but I have more hope for that fix).
I think a good fix for the Social Site would be to allow a user to choose (and alter) their default Dragon Age persona, but I think a possible connection to EA.com's persona databases are perhaps interfering with this site. I feel that EA's site is really unfriendly to the end user, neither allowing for persona deletion or even account deletion! (Accounts are rendered inactive over time, by my understanding). I'm working off of a hypothesis here, but since this site clearly draws data from its parent site, I am hoping the experiment pans out.
In the meantime, I will again suggest that BioWare allow us to *choose* our default DA:O persona for each platform and for further BioWare releases that this site supports. I'll be sure to report any results I have on this thread.

However, I do agree that picking a default persona would help a ton. I'm sure many profiles are viewed and skipped because they SEEM to not have any character data, when in fact the viewer doesn't take the time to click "view other personas." An option to either default or delete personas would be greatly appreciated
