6 Characters (down to 5, one had the 1005 error, tried deleting from site and re-saving in game to see if it would fix the issue. Nothing yet.)
Only the last character I created seems to have uploaded everything.
Four of them have error 1002, three have 1003, and one of them has 1004.
I have no idea what course of action to take. They've all been manually saved in-game multiple times, had their equipment switched, etc...
And a few days ago I started getting the message that it can't connect to the DA servers; there's been an error, when I start up the game. Weird 'cause I'm still connecting to Xbox Live just fine and nothing's changed about my connection since the last time it worked.
Pourquoi?

Ive deleted all screenshots and characters yet it still show some files for each in that page.
I deleted them as i will be starting other characters with the same name as the ones i deleted and didnt want them to conflict. Oh and i hate seeing errors

Some I deleted almost a month ago still have files hanging around, although the characters and screenshots are long gone. I can't get rid of them, and there's been no news afaik on being able to do so. You may be stuck with them, just like the rest of us.
If you create a new character with that name, it'll have a numerical designator added. That is, if your character is Fred (and it still has files on the diagnostic page) the new one will be Fred1. Up to you, ofc, but I'd go for a new name.
On a different note, do we have any news yet on being able to delete extra profiles (or set the default one or something)? Or at least making it so those of us with multiples can use our characters as avatars? I am soooo sick of looking at the wrong one (and there's very little choice in the generic ones).

1. Delete both characters from profile page.
2. Load the saved game of the first character, play for a while until the character is uploaded again.
3. Disable the two mods
4. Load the saved game of the second character and do the same as step 2.
5. Check the profile diagnostics again.
Then I find that the first character still get the same 1005 problem and with 11 files uploaded while the second no longer have this problem and with only 4 file uploaded.
I suspect the extra files are mod-related information which are also be uploaded when you play the game.

Go to your gaming profile, click Manage characters, delete the char with the faulty picture, then play the game with that character for a while and save into a new slot. In a few hours your problem will be solved.King Killoth wrote...

I ran the profile diagnostic, it gives me a green checkmark on everything, tells me I have 4 files, and no error codes?
Yet since before the 2nd patch I've gone through and deleted my character off the website, reinstalled the game, etc etc - and my profile is still borked. It reports my original first character and that's it. It updates till about level 6 then quits. It seems to always get the achievements but that's it.
Can anyone help?
*EDIT*
ummm. whoa
within about 15min of posting this topic, all of a sudden my profile pic starts working again- and that hasn't really worked since the 6th day after the game was released.. The Profile Gods must be watching. Now here's hoping the rest gets fixed too.. lol

Don't hate me - I haven't read all 107pages, and the pages I have read haven't mentioned anything relevant to my problem.

Yeah getting the profile to update even when you have no errors seems to be a battle I am constantly struggling with now that I fixed my major problems.
The whole "you must have profile views" to update is rediculous, 90% of people are probably being permanently bumped down the list because of it.

Agreed. Some of us didn't purchase the game for the social aspect, and as such the only people viewing our profiles are ourselves.
The profile view is a fun idea but extrordinarily frustrating - especially when early on having to deal with "tech support". I used to manage a NOC that dealt with end-users periodically, therefore it was aggrivating to have the tech-support folks follow the BS lines straight from the call center Rule Book.
1) Be patient it will fix itself and/or reboot.
2) The problem isn't on our side, therefore you must've installed/run/started/looked at or breathed funny on the game - so you'll have to reinstall your OS.
And my personal favorite #3) It's a known issue that our engineers are aware of. Sadly #3 was the most honest answer even though tech support had no idea and was simply trying to get me off of the live chat.
I'm finished, but I think that just proved how maddening this entire problem has been.

p.s.: Make sure to uncheck the 'upload character profile' and 'upload screenshots' on the options page BEFORE logging in!

I made one with that name in the character creator before the game was released (and as such, that's the one that appears in the Documents --> --> Bioware --> Dragon Age --> Pre-release Characters), and just recently made another one in the full game. The thing uploaded the pre-released character version instead of the one I'm actually using in the game.
Edit: Thankfully, that glitch was at least easy to solve. Just remove the pre-generated character from the appropriate folder, and the game appears to default back to the legitimate in-game characters.
