I get an "Invalid game/persona" error when trying to use the profile diagnostic. Is this because I set my EA account default to my 360 Gamertag? I have DAO for PC, and do not recall seeing an option to link it to that gamertag when setting up.
If this is the case, how do I proceed? I have already activated various codes and whatnot for DLC in DAO, and would really like to be able to still have that DLC in-game without having to go to ea.com and swap personas back and forth on a regular basis.
Any help would be appreciated.

@Baytor: Somebody had that exact problem not long ago but I'm afraid I don't remember the solution. I do think it involved setting a default persona on EA's site, though.

Well I've posted about this earlier but didn't find any answers, so here I go again a bit more in-depth. Hope someone knows.
So according to the profile diagostics I have one character, she's from the Character Creator and I deleted her long ago. I get the "no story uploaded" error for her, obviously because she was only in the CC.
None of my DA characters ever updated, even though the achievements and screenshots update perfectly. I have all firewalls turned off, all exceptions added, all boxes ticked, all saves done manually, I've got a 1111 profile views. I don't see why they shouldn't be updating. I even reinstalled the game once and still nothing. I'm thinking it might be something with the game or the PC, because my brother (with different account, but shared PC) has the same problem. Any ideas?

I can't seem to get the screen shot page to delete shots consistently. Even when it says it is deleted i come back and it it is still there.

Are you logged in when you play? Are you connected to the server when you play (as well as logged in)? In your settings, in Options - Online do you have Upload Character Profile ticked?

I am getting Errors 1001 through 1005 on all mine, plus I have an extra character listed for PC version that I have never made as PS3 has 6 and PC 1 only. Neither PS3 nor PC versions update and if they did PS3 stopped one at level 3 and he has completed game at level 22 as have 4 others one I am playing now on PS3 version is level 12 and site shows level 3. Unsure how to fix site updates for missing data, photos, etc.. Forgot I am getting time out errors all the time on PS3 version and alot of erronious server error messages while playing PC version.

It took me 5 days to fix all of mine. Largely because of the time I had to wait for my profile to update.

You know what, I quit caring about the profile, the screenshots and anything else connected with this massive screw-up. I'll just play the game and visit the forums, and forget about all this profile s###! It's obvious to me that whoever is running this site bit off a lot more than they can chew, and I don't care if It's ever fixed. I certainly am not going to go through xxx number of steps to fix it myself, I've got better things to do.

So true. This entire profile data mess is just annoying. Why should I spend hours and hours on deleting and reuploading and wtf whatever? Even if this sould work after a few weeks the profile would be totally messed up again with Error 1005. One of my characters has amazing 22 files according to diagnostics and still counting...
If the System is able to detect needless files (resulting in Error 1005) why is it not able to delete them automatically??!? Nobody can tell me this is rocket science and not realizable.

Out of curiosity I did a full search of my computer for those chars and they weren't anywhere to be found. Somehow those characters are stuck on the Bioware profile, and I wish they would just delete them, or put a delete option so we could delete them.
I wonder if this problem is even being addressed by Bioware, there's been a suspicious absence of comment by any dev that makes me think it's not. So I'll stick to my decision to ignore the whole mess.

Thanks some of it did update finally as for char pics can live without em. Almost finished with 6th play through at least it is starting to show some of my progress on PS3 version. Still buggy but oh well at least it updates sometimes for now. As for PC not playing it right now installing too many games to worry about it for now. Thanks again for the PM heads up on post.

Another solution could be implementing a button on the
diagnostic page "delete unexpected files" - this can't be impossible.

It's easy to fix the extra unexpected files issue, it just requires a little time and patience. If you want a simple button to push to fix it - there isn't one.
Delete that character from the site, using the 'manage characters' - 'delete' function. Play with the character and make a new save in a new slot. When the character uploads to the site again, check in profile diagnostics to see how many files are now attached. If you are lucky, it will be back to 4. If not go through the procedure again (delete - play - save - upload - check). Do this until you get back to 4 files.
At one point I had 30+ on one character. It took, iirc, 4 deletions to get the number of files back down to 4, with them reducing each time. If you delete a character from the site whenever you first get the extra unexpected files message, it usually only takes that one deletion to fix the error.
