i've had similar problems myself since i upgraded vista to windows 7. i can play for about 10 mins then i get a freeze followed by a system reset with a driver error. my system could hardly be called weak as it is an i7 920, 6 Gb ddr3 RAM, hd5770 video card. was fine under vista but now i keep getting thisd problem. all dreivers etc are the latest versions so i'm just hoping that next driver release will solve the problem.

Peace, my friends. You're both right. If you want to completely redesign a laptop so it can play DAO, you can. It just costs a crapload of cash. It's probably cheaper to buy a new desktop. I have the exact type of chip Gorath is talking about, and it really is a piece of crap. But I am also able to play Guild wars which is undisputably a 3D game. Conclusion: Laptops with intel processors or not built to handle gaming. But if you want to play slightly older, lower graphics games, you can. Dragon Age and other high-intensity games, however, are out of the question. I'm going to start saving up for a gateway.
