Can someone explain to me why this is such good news? (It's an honest question)

You know that old human saying "the more the marrier"? Well the more VAs returning for EC the better it looks for us.

Miranda is modeled on Yvonne. Her voice in game is pretty close to her actual voice. Get her soem hair dye, and you've got Ms. Lawson. I thought you wanted your Miri back. Whatever.

Regardless, confirmation of voice actors doesn't mean much for me in regards to the EC. Every squadmate was going to need dialog of them saying "Shep's dead? Run away!". Without more substantial information, I'm very much on the fence about the extended cut.

I don't think so. Judging BioWare's overall effort so far, I predict that just the canon-romances will have new dialogue (VS,Liara,Tali,Garrus)
Silent reunion will be the case then... which doesn't necessairly have to bad , though.

I don't really care about dialouge as long as it happens.

But it would be a plus.

VS,Liara,Tali,Garrus ain't "Canon" romances. They're "current squad romances". These characters can be at the beam in the ending where probably the largest amount of changes/additions will take place so they will need all actors of all squadmates to record lines depending on who you take to the beam.

That still doesn't mean Miranda, Steve, Jack & Traynor voice actors won't be back.

I don't know if they say "there is no real canon" I imagine all the LIs will be returning.

but my minimum is all the ones in your squad during ME3

Anything is possible.

Including clarification of that scene.
