Why does he refer to the end as losing the game?
A curious point indeed.
"... if the player loses and gets killed ..."

More Hacket is the biggest news so far, and a step in the right direction.
Agreed.
Who else, apart from Shep, have been confirmed in the DLC?
Mark Meer or Jennifer Hale have confirmed that they're doing voice work for the DLC? Is this accurate?
Of course it is. Why wouldn't they?
Has this been officially announced? I may have missed something but I haven't seen confirmation from Jennifer Hale or Mark Meer, as already doing actual voice work for the EC.
This is an essential point because without new dialogue from Shepard, the chances that you get to actually confront the Catalyst are slim. And that is a crucial part in opening new alternative(s) to the current endings... (And completely discards the possibility of a new happy ending, meeting the crew, etc...).

Can we get a non-indcotrination focused "bioware deserves another chance" or "Have faith in bioware" banner? I'd like on of those.
Hell, I'd be willing to commission for one of those.
BioWare deserves nothing. This is their one and only chance to earn back the respect they willingly tossed aside because they thought they could half-ass the ending to a beloved trilogy.
This, all of this.

I'm with Angry One on this. He was using shorthand simply because the backlash was so negative, he considered it losing. He's a great actor but I doubt he's much of a gamer himself.

Belittle and dismiss all you want but I am serious, I am willing to commission via paypal or other such transaction system someone with superior art talent than myself to make a signiture banner that says this, and maybe with a collage of all their recent and older bioware games, recent for bioware deserves another chance one and older for the have faith in biware one.
I am not joking. I don't know where else to post this and making a new topic would probably result in it getting locked.

Yeah, I know - I thought it was an easter egg or something. Exactly how could he/she survive a blast of that magnitude when he/she is at its core? More space magic at work?Sublyminal wrote...

Shepard lives in destroy if you have high enough EMS.
Unless we can actually say 'no' to the Star Child now or the IT has been incorporated. Then I'd be satisfied.
Same way he survived reentry to a planet.... space magic.

I don't get it though... from everything I've seen and read, it really seems like BW considers Synthesis to be the 'best' ending. So, why does a supposedly sub-par ending have Shepard survive?
If it was intended as a 'Fable II' style choice (save your dog, but kill lots of people), they didn't spend enough time afterwards to drive that point home.

Actually, he did not. If you remember, Shepard dies at the beginning of ME2, and due to sheer luck, 2 years of work, and insane amount of resources, he is resurrected.
Here he breathes just after being at the epicenter of a 100 kiloton blast. Nothing survives that.

What I'm saying is even with a spacesuit on it's impossible to survive reentry into an atmosphere. He would have burned up before he hit the ground. So..... space magic:wizard:

excellent news. when henrikson says that bioware said "there was a problem with the ending", thats comes across to me as bioware knows the ending sucks. have they been planning this all along? things are becoming very slightly more clear, but still not clear enough to make it out.
