My character is still wearing my red armor, yet i have just beat the game about a week ago and i had some black Warden Commander armor, but it's still not updating... is there a way i can get it to update, hell my Origins character still has his starter armor... this character is my Awakeings character.

I have the same problem. I think in my case it's either because mine is modded (though that didn't stop my other char with modded armor from appearing correctly... eventually) or because the game is only supposed to update for a character when they change equipment or level up. (I was signed out when I switched to the new armor. The BSN help page said that's when its programmed to update, though that doesn't stop it from updating my kill count for a char occasionally.)

Update as of 11:13, 5/22: I got the killcount to update by hitting the switch-weapon-set button, armor's still not showing.

Update as of 3:Something AM the day that started a few hours after that: It's starting to look like my BSN has updated to show the proper armor, but that I can't see it from my laptop, just from my parent's desktop. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. And I hate to break it to you, but Brox's armor is red on both computers.

My characters haven't updated..since I joined the network....I've beaten the games on at least 4 characters for 2 and 12 for 1 and Awakening and nothing ever shows up. It's frustrating.

Mine fails to update consistently as well. It always updates Achievements instantly, but rarely does it update characters immediately, but for sure I've noticed that it doesn't seem to update when I don't check on it. The things I do to make sure it updates are:

1. Check on your characters regularly.
2. Click between the "manage characters" page, main "Persona" page, and individual character pages.
3. If that doesn't do it within a day or two, go back to DAO and return to the last game the character was in. Sometimes I'll change the armor or do something new first as if to give it cause to update new data. Then Save the game again. It may also require being in DAO long enough at that point- possibly being online and in-game at a periodic data upload moment (just a guess).

This advice sounds a little like hocus pocus, but it's intended to trigger the system to automatically recognize update requests and process them, and it has always "worked", albeit sometimes days later. (Then again rain dances always work. It does end up raining after all...) But I have seen instant success at times after using the above steps.

My dwarf males seem to have it the worst, even their avatar picture not showing up for days.

If you play with console enabled, it will not update your char's.
I have to reload my page numerous times to see the latest saves applied to my characters. They eventually show up, also make sure you are logged in when you start playing, sometimes it un-logs itself. Sometimes the servers are down and you can't log in, so it forgets to tell you next time (you think you are logged in but really are not). Other than reloading your page a bunch, that is the only advice I can give.

Looks like there's a FAQ page for this...

Why isn't my DA Character showing up online?

There are several reasons that your DA character data may not be showing up online yet. These include:

  • Your data was already synced within about the past hour - the system avoids re-syncing people too frequently - be patient!
  • You do not have an account on this website - the system only syncs data for people with accounts
  • No
one has visited your DA player profile page - the system decides who to
sync based on whether their profile has been visited in the past day.
  • The
system has many other people to sync first - syncing is done on a
first-come first-serve basis, so a big rush will delay some syncs
  • You logged in to Dragon Age with a different account - you must use the same account in-game as you use on this site
  • In the Character Creator, you did not hit the "Upload Character" button, or that upload failed
  • In Dragon Age Origins (not Char Creator), you did not save your game - DA game progress is uploaded when the game is saved
  • your router or firewall is blocking ports needed by the game - these include ports 80, 443, and 18081

I've found that I have a better chance of updating when I save the game, just as it suggests. I'll open the game (being online in the game), Command-key out, go to the DA profile page and click on the character, get back in the game and Save it, then go back out and check for a bit. It sometimes updates within a few minutes tops. Also sometimes it updates all info except the paperdoll image, so that might be done some different way. That also only seems to work with characters that are already in your profile list. I don't have the same success rate with new characters showing up.

On a side note I don't know what the max number of characters allowed is.

My modded armor always shows up in the character profile, just no name for it. Same for custom weapons. They are in the picture, but there is no description for them, sometimes no icon either.

I just discovered something. IF you are playing with a modded new area, and you save in that area, your update may not show. I had to go to a Vanilla area, save again, and then all the updates showed up.
