camp to talk with Shale. You will be removed from the area and unable to get back into camp.
This takes place during patch 1.2 on the PC version.
Anything you need to know is pretty much explained in the video.
I did use Shale in the final fight and finished all of his quests before finishing the game.

I just finished my first playthrough a few minutes ago and definitely consider it to be my GOTY.
