 So far, we have a few stated facts of what the EC will entail. Perhaps this will keep things in perspective...

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?

"No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned."

"For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard's journey."

"BioWare will be expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3."


New dialogue from the following characters, so far...

Ashley
Kaidan
EDI
Garrus
Hackett

These are key facts we know to this point. Bioware employee Twitter comments are a crapshoot.

EDIT -------- Below will be quotes that gives a little insight into what we can expect.

Mike Gamble --- "We wanted to give the players a sense of personalisation with the endings," 

"Many people mentioned that some of the choices they made in the game are not necessarily reflected in the ending scenes. We're definitely going to focus on things like that.

"We want to make sure that when you see the ending of Mass Effect, you now have the information and context to be satisfied."

That's all I need to know for me to predict that the EC will be a dismal failure.  At minimum ME3 needs a conpletely rewritten ending from Priority Earth forward and that's simply not going to happen.

Id expect there to be plenty of VA just not tweeting about it, I have no doubt if VA, EDI and Garrus are recording then at the very minimum all VA for the squad will be back just not tweeting about it, I just wish it was as clear about the ME2 LIs cause seriously you guys deserve SOMETHING

I agree but it's always possible that this is a sort of face saving political style response in which the ending is actually new (or at least newish) while Bioware claims it isn't (which will avoid amitting there was a problem in the first place).  One can always hope anyway.

If the statement is indeed true to the word then I don't think it will be all that well recieved.

Mm. Oddly, the game would have ended very satisfactorily if it had been a simple fade to black after Shepard and Anderson's last conversation. Even though it would have still been open ended, it would have been a great place to stop, and our 'speculation' on what happened next would have been things like 'exactly how do the reapers die?'

Miranda was already desinged to be perfect. She isn't but she's just perfect for my Shepard.

As I'm sure Steve is for your's.

Ugh, I'm wondering the same. Come on, there's no satisfying ending without proper LI closure.
Obviously all actors are under some harsh NDA, only some of them being allowed to mention they're in the EC.

I will add them if either one has confirmed EC work. I know they're probably a sure bet, but sticking to confirmed certains.
