Everything that I hate about the ending is staying.

So I really could care less, and will just stick with head-canon.

There may or may not be new gameplay.

There will be no new endings.

Exactly, same stupid bull****.

New cinematics and epilogue scenes is the only hard info we have, currently.

Everything else is fair game.

That's all it says.

We don't know anything else.

Who exactly worked on those games, "BioWare", or selected individuals? I'm more concerned about the individuals, not the company. The company may have had stellar writers working on other projects at some point, but that doesn't do us a bit of good if they're not working on THIS project.

Casey Hudson was the lead o all these projects

He was also the lead on Jade Empire, and that game had an immensely satisfying conclusion.

Yep. I think someone from Bioware may have hinted at more dialogue options in a tweet. But, not a lock yet.

I should really get on that one.

Missed that.

Too bad he wasn't able to pull that off again. Very sad indeed.

Many things.

Inluding the part about Gamble talking about reworking dialouge.......in the Patrick Weekes thread.

Something to consider.

Did no one at BioWare pass middle school biology?.

And yet people accepted Project Lazarus even though it's total space magic too so...

Not me. I have complained quite a bit about the Lazarus Project, and the absurdity of the explanation and the way it was presented. Cerberus unlocks the secret of DEATH—and it's no big deal? SRSLY? And that just illustrates another example of the BAD WRITING that is coming from this team.

As for the rest of the post, I get that you have no faith, but it's exactly what I'm talking about. Everyone makes mistakes, even the greatest artists ever. All of your favourite musicains, directors etc have at least one bad album/song/movie on tehir resume. That does not mean one mistake means they're completly worthless now and can't do anything right anymore.

Not really a perfect analogy. Bad movie? Oh well, there's two hours of your life you're never getting back. Bad song? Even less of a time investment. More appropriate would be an unsatisfying series finale to a favorite TV show. BioWare "St. Elsewhere'd" us, and it's too late to unring that bell, no matter how much "clarity" and "closure" they tack onto the existing pile of...stuff. But you'd better believe I'm not going to give this team as much blind faith as I once did when it comes to future projects. Until I see a real sea change, I'm going to assume we'll be getting more of what we've been getting. To have faith in them at this point is foolish. I'm not going to just assume everything they turn out will be "worthless", but I'm going to be a much more wary consumer going forward, that's all.

It's really hard to take anything anyone says from Bioware unless it's an actual press-statement.

Other than that, personally I just think it's just a wild goose chase, or a lame attempt to keep our attention.

Casey Hudson, the lead director, lied through his teeth to us, so it's really hard to take anything seriously that comes from someone lower on the food chain.

I would assume that Hale is coming back, as is Meer. They are under contract you know.

While sensible discussion of opposing viewpoints is fine, bickering and snotty comments is not. Play nice.

Mass Effect is ran by Casey Hudson. He and the team continue to work on Mass Effect DLCs including teh Extended Cut.

Casey didn't work on Jade Empire, that was lead by Jim Bishop who moved on from BioWare.

That's all I need to know for me to predict that the EC will be a dismal failure.  At minimum ME3 needs a conpletely rewritten ending from Priority Earth forward and that's simply not going to happen.

This. More dialogue can't fix an ending if it still includes Casper, colorful explosions, space magic, an OOC Shepard, an awful deus ex machina with three awful options and so on. To begin with, this ending just ruins the whole plot of ME1 and ME2. Priority Earth mission sucks and clarification won't fix it either. If they don't change anything this DLC will be a huge failure.

Yes,and I still fail to see your point.

Adding on to what's already **** isn't going to make it not-****.

It needs to be completely rebooted to make sense.

Yes it can. That's what an extended cut is. That's what it's function is.

You rework and transmure crap and turn it into gold. In the Middle Ages they called it Alchemy.

Today I call it the Blade Runner effect.
