Here's what I felt.

"Yay! Thane!" (This was on BFF Shepard) "He's my bestie! Oh no, he's coughing!" "....Well, that was a short talk." "....Nothing new to say, huh, Thane? Oh well." "Thane! No! STAY PUT!" "...Amigawd Thane from @&@#^@in' NOWHERE!" "...He's such a badass. Why isn't my Shepard helping, though? Why isn't GARRUS helping?!" "Nooooo! No no freaking no!" "Oh, he's still alive."

And then I learned that's pretty much how friends go and love interests go and there's nothing you can do to change it.

I felt gutted, and it completely ruined my ME experience, most of my saves are Thanemancers and I have absolutely no wish to relive that sickening disconnect again.

I fully agree with the majority of what's been posted already in this thread so won't bother repeating, but Bioware let us down badly.
