This was the last achievement I got too, since the darn things kept blowing up on me before I even managed to break the glass... I had to take an unmodded Raptor with me and send my teammates off to die to get some privacy, but finally managed to hijack one in the Cerberus coup mission in the plaza after the narrow corridor.

There are some times you cant hijack the mech so you cant do it no matter what. I got the achievement during the Cerberus Attack on the citadel. Used valiant with penetration mod and took out the driver and hopped in.

On my insanity run, hijacked the last atlas in the game: during the attack on TIM's headquarters. I figured, if I couldn't do it then there's always another playthrough.

Got it on the Citadel...not really worth it. Took me longer to kill things in it than out of it.

This took me awhile. My problem was I kept destroying the Atlas before the glass broke.

I did it with the Raptor V with barrel/AP mod. Didn't use any powers, I just spammed the thing in the general direction of the glass. Worked like a charm.

I got it on my first playthrough. I was a vangaurd and used the Graal spike thrower. Charged that baby up about four times and aimed at the Atlas glass, then pop. Glass broke and killed the driver.
