Ok this is the second post I have seen about nudity tonight. Why the obsession over nudity? Also if I do remember correctly they do show Ash in her underwear.
The point is that liara gets the "smokist" romance scene out of the LI plus she is the only romance option who does not wear underwear when she is getting it on with shepard.

At least it's not Wrex.

No seriously though, I'm sure there is some graphical / ratings / artistic reason for it.

If your looking for "smoking" sex there's other places you can find for it.

I am not interested in porn but seriously, have you seen Liara's romance scene? That is a thing of beauty.
I am bloody jealous.

I've always thought the "sex" scenes were just foreplay, which legitimizes the underwear. Wouldn't really have it any other way honestly. There is fanfic for those who want to go farther with it. However I think the OP is stating how it was taken slightly farther with Liara (no undies, biotic glow, and the scene lasts the longest IIRC) and that there is some Liara bias among the devs, which I'm inclined to agree. Removing the underwear does not mean getting full on nudity; that would be uncalled for. But to remove Liara's underwear and not the other romanceables' is, admittedly, a bit unfair. They can remove all clothing but keep the scenes free from nudity; it's been done countless times in movies and games alike. Or they can universally have all LI keep their undies on. Either way, it's about equal treatment for each character, not sex.Rickets wrote...

+1 I agree with that. and yes, foreplay can be much hotter than sex itself. I want more cuddling and kissing in the LI scenes no matter which gender or species the LI is. throwing in a shower scene wouldn't hurt either.
Especially if it involves kaiden/Cortez dropping the soap.

She's an alien, so they can probably get away with more on a technicality.
I don't quite see why it's forbidden to show "nudity" (god, you don't even see anything), while you are allowed to kill people with exploding heads... strange Americans...

This! It's rated "M 17+" so what's the problem? It's okay to see a lot of blood and kill people in 30 different ways but not okay to see a "hint" of nudity?

...yet allowed the CG artists to give Jack fully-modelled ones, then sneak them in by hiding them under a 'net top' texture.
Seriously - I've seen the un-textured models at Pixologic's site, as part of their ME3 interview.
So nudity in the 'nude sex scene' is bad, but let's sneak in nips on supposedly 'fully-clothed' character for teh lols...

And no, it has nothing to do with her being an alien, that's just silly. You didn't see Garrus or Tali naked, did you?

I sincerely hope you're aware that there's a difference between "realistic scenes" (may or may not include nudity) and pornography. We're not asking for the Witcher 2 in our romance scenes, mind you.
For example, Dante's Inferno (Both the game and the terrible movie adaptation) had nudity and a brief sex scene, but it wasn't pornographic.

Liaras romance scene was beautiful, but I don't think it would work for other characters. Tbh all I wanted was a ingame render of talis face to kiss during the scene, but whatever.
