Much, much more fun.
Drink 3-6 beers and press ready.
Good time.
Drunk Multiplayer....more fun, or not so much?

Meh, not really as fun for the people playing with me.
When I'm drinking have the tendency to lose focus on things quickly. It's entirely likely for me to do something else while standing out in the open in-game.
That being said, I usually have no interest in gaming while drinking to begin with.

i don't need chemical assistance to improve the quality if fun or social interactions, so i'm sure being drunk won't help one bit.
Virgin detected.
chemical dependant, personality void, mindless, sheep-like husk who is made up entirely of everyone else's opinions detected. are you afraid that your crutch is going to be taken away? don't worry, hitler's gone and your precious hooch is safe.
see, i can do it, too. but better.
what you say is true.well, regarding party drinkers.if you can be entertaining without the need to pump yourself up with alc then Kudos to you.but there are also people like me who enjoy a good Scotch with friends just for the sake of enjoying.

I play and aim better when drunk. I find I'm more mentally relaxed, and I just let my reflexes take over. I run head first into everything and I come out alive, tactics be damned. When I'm sober I'm more calculated, and conservative which leads to more nervous aiming mistakes on my part. It's especially evident when I'm playing CoD.

I don't think I've ever played while being what I'd call "drunk", but gaming and single malt go well together in my world, so I'll often pour myself a dram before sitting down by the PC.
Maybe I'm delusional, but I think I tend to relax a bit and be more intuitive when I have an ever so slight buzz. I just aim, instead of thinking about how to aim, if you get my meaning. And that generally makes me aim better.

Isn't alcohol suspected to actually make reactions slower? I think you can use little dose to enhance a bit but playing drunk should be awful for aiming skills. Never tried it in this game. In TF2 it didn't help at all is all I can say.

There's nothing "suspected" about it, alcohol will drive your reaction time up.dr_random wrote...

And I don't think anyone claims that alcohol objectively makes your reactions faster or your movements more precise (but I haven't read every post - if someone does claim that, then that person is an idiot).
However, what alcohol can do is make you relax your concious control a bit, and play more instinctively. I will typically hit better if I don't consciously think about where to aim. If I just shoot based on reflexes, I tend to hit more, especially in situations like snap-shots with sniper rifles. If I think consciously about it, I tend to overcompensate for movement and make a heap of other small judgement errors that when you sum them up make me miss.

I liked playing shotgun classes drunk, but never sniper or caster classes.
