Hey all --
My Xbox360's hard drive is slowly failing... things take longer and longer to load up. Installing games makes everything worse.
So I'm itching to get a new HDD... the only thing holding me back are these darn ME trilogy saves.
Is there a proven process to transfer the saves from the current (dying) hard drive to the new hard drive? The dying HDD is still usuable, so I have full access to it.
I know ME1 saves transfer to the cloud just fine, so that shouldn't be difficult... but ME2 and ME3 are trickier. I'd really like to have everything transferred smoothly so I can load up ME3 and the future dlc's without having to replay everything all over again (which I already did when I was forced to re-format this current hdd I'm using just before ME3 came out).
If I 'move' all ME2 and ME3 files onto a USB flash drive (I know they won't 'copy', right?)... then move them onto the new HDD once that's installed into the console, will I be okay?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
transferring Mass Effect 1-3 saves to new Hard Drive (but same Xbox console)
