In multiplayer, I name all my characters after mythical gods and goddess from various mythologies and try to make their appearance and role match their name. Here are the ones I can name off the top of my head. Keep in mind these are not the full names I put up there; I just added their mythical role into their name for those who are less... informed.

Adept, Drell: "Ra the Egyptian Sun God"

Engineer, Geth: "Hephaestus the Greek Smith God"
Engineer, Human Female: "Hecate the Greek Magic Goddess"

Infiltrator, Geth: "Zeus the Greek Thunder God"
Infiltrator, Human Female: "Hel the Norse Underworld Goddess"
Infiltrator, Human Male: "Apollo the Greek Archer God"

Sentinel, Batarian: "Huehueteotl the Aztec Fire God"
Sentinel, Krogan: "Tyr the Norse War God"
Sentinel, Turian: "Anthur the Egyptian War God"

Soldier, Human Female: "Isis the Egyptian Mother Godess"
Soldier, Human Male: "Ares the Greek War God"

Vanguard, Human Female: "Shiva the Hindu Destroyer Goddess"
Vanguard, Human Male: "Hades the Greek Underworld God"

But anyway, how do you name and or organize your characters?

I'll say you have alot more organized thought than me....I stopped caring after a few promotions so I just enter the first name that pops into my head...often bob...or john...past names from my MMO characters, etc.

Half my names are references to something, most likely something gaming related. Some of my names are:

Rogar - Human Male Soldier
Nimble - Human Male Infiltrator
Harken - Turian Soldier
Forde - Drell Adept
Worgendorf - Krogan Vanguard

My Krogan Sentinel is also named Pinky, and he wears pink armour. He is amazing.

I name most of the classes after their defining ability, but I really don't care what they're called since it doesn't show up publicly e.g.

Drell Adept - Cluster****
Asari Adept - Detonation
Geth Engineer - Healzor
Human Infiltrator - One Shot (One Sheet does plenty)

etc.

i name my characters XXX_YYY

where XXX is the first three letters of the class, and YYY the first three letters of the race.

The ones I have properly named so far are:

Adepts:
Drell - Running Man - joke on the Arnie film, and because he's always running!

Engineers:
Human Male - Bob The Builder - obvious reasons
Salarian - Brains - Thunderbirds anyone?
Geth - NoDataAvailable - a bit of a play on words; there's no Data, and Legion's ME2 line.

Sentinels:
Krogan - Tinkerbell - He's like a big fairy with the glowing tech armour. Sprinkles you with fairy dust (incinerate) and a bit of magic (lift grenade) and then you can fly!

Infiltrators:
Human Male - Mr Fantastic
Quarian - Space Ghost
Geth - The Lore - a play on a few things; the Judge Dredd line, Lore from TNG, and breaking the mass effect lore because geth do not infiltrate.

Vanguards:
Human Male - The One and Only - from the famous song. Quite fitting I think.
Drell - Flash - ie, Flash Gordon - "HE'S A MIRACLE!"
Asari - Blue Shift
Krogan - Tyrannosaurus - because all the rest are a "bunch of slack jawed *******!"


Still trying to fill in the rest of them. Got a few placeholders (turian, krogan, batarian soldiers = the good, bad, and ugly), but nothing I'm too satisfies with yet.

My Human Soldier is named 'MURIKA. though I might rename him to Michael Bay now that I have both the Falcon X and Scorpian I

My Krogan Soldier is named Tank. For no reason.

My Human Vanguard is named Paladin, because running around with the crusader shouting Space Justice is just silly.

My Krogan Vanguard is named Amerikrogan. Because yeah.

All the other characters I have given names based on people I've seen use the class really wellor were just plain fun to play with, so a human Femgineer would be named -origin ID here- et cetera.

I try to name all my MP characters like people of their race are named in the games.

I did some research into the names that appear in canon, and tried to establish some sort of base to how the names have been influenced. Thus my results came out like this.

Batarian Soldier: Hasit Hri'dah

Drell Adept: Varon Damis

Human Engineer: Mildred Tamirov

Quarian Engineer: Ki'Daj Vas Palu
Quarian Infiltrator: Sila'Dan Vas Palu

Salarian Engineer: Anand Selig

Turian Sentinel: Dexius Rufinus
Turian Soldier: Sergus Ortelius


I really enjoy naming my MP characters. It... gives them personality.
