so, either you play gold without an infiltrator or you are just being silly. there's no luck greater in a gold game (provided people know what they are doing, especially the infiltrator) than getting the devices on wave 10. easiest 30'000 credits ever.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a missile, but that's really the only reliable way to eliminate multiple targets simultaneously, which forces the game to spawn multiple enemies and randomly assign one as the priority target.

It doesn't have to be the first target either, just if you're looking to switch the enemy (and if you have a good team, it really doesn't matter anyways), it doesn't make much sense to kill banshees for 2/4 then rocket 3/4 at a spawn point to switch for just one more priority target.

I don't often use rockets on wave 3, but with my static group, if the eliminate high profile targets objective pops up for wave 10, we usually rush spawn points and rocket all four in 30 seconds or less. We frequently end up getting the target to switch from a Banshee to a Ravager for example.

Ok so when is it ok and not ok to use medigel?  When i get floored I have no way to rotate the camera and unless someone on the mic says they are coming to rez me I just have no clue.  From there it is a judgement call that depends on wave or objective, how many current team mates are still in the fight, and current supply of medigel.  If I am about to bleed out or get stomped and I feel the team needs my help to finish that wave then I won't wait to use medigel.

 5. Onscreen enemy grenade locator.  "Oh ****, there's a grenade under me (rolls) ... wait, it's still under me (dodges) ... dammit how is it still under ... (BLAM!)"
4. The cover system.  Either getting stuck on cover while running, not being able to get out of cover once stuck or leaping over a desk when I didn't realize I was still in cover.  I freely admit some of these are operator error, but they're all damned annoying.
3.  Getting thrown into a random match in progress where everyone has bled out and I'm playing a support character (or worse a character I don't normally play).  It would be nice to have the option to not join in progress matches.
2. Standing near me when I'm doing an objective cloaked.  Thanks for drawing the Brute charge right to me.
1.  Disconnect on wave 9 or above

Probably should have mentioned that. But yes, wave 10 disable with no infiltrators, which usually happens when I join a match in progress.

do it (aka ok to use medi-gel) (if you aren't on wave 1-3 with the other 3 people still alive and you trusting them to do it without you. in that case, just die. the others will save the wave and you still got a medi-gel when you need it later.)

getting shot down as an infiltrator during objective round (hacking 4 devices) on your way to device? do it (aka ok to use medi-gel)

5. Those people who INSIST on doing FBW against the Geth or else they'll quit.
4. People who kick if you're not an infiltrator or engineer.
3. People who act tough and think they all that, only to die quickly. Then either quit or complain about their teammates the rest of the match.

V: People that complain about finding a FBW/Geth lobby during Random searches. If the class you've selected is Level 20, XP is meaningless. Select a particular map other than FBW, or change your enemy faction to Cerberus or Reapers. Problem solved. Or, I don't know, HOST a Random/Random/Gold. Then laugh when you get FBW and Geth.

IV: People that kvetch over the mic about everyone staying in Hacking Circle when you have little to no cover. This is a team-oriented game, where you can employ things called "tactics," instead of being a Rambo. A two man team inside is more likely to survive when supported by a two man team outside, especially when there isn't enough cover for four people.

III: People that kvetch over the mic about everybody staying in Hacking Circle vs Reapers on Wave 6 or 10. There are 2 Banshees and 3 Brutes in the zone, so feel free to stay and be lunch. I'll be over here getting rid of the Ravagers that "saved" you from being insta-killed by Morinth just now.

II: Lost connections after Wave 6. That's EA "stealing" my "money" earned while playing. If they want to talk about people "stealing money" from them by modding files to award bigger credit payouts (haven't bothered; never cared enough), then they have to be held accountable for credits lost due to server error.

I: Lag deaths. Love blinking and seeing full shields and health become a twitching body in two seconds. Especially after using an Ops Pack.

1.Disconects in round 9-10
2.Using a medi-gel or survival pack, and not getting the effect, even though it was deducted from your items.
3.Losing your equipment when the game disconects, yet not getting the xp/credits you had when it crashed.
4.People who continuously walk into the line of fire and then complain about friendly fire.
5.People who dont hack/do objectives.
6. When you die reviving someone and they run off, instead of reviving you back.

'Scuse me?  What's a shooting lane?  And what's 'stupid' about a turret?

I have spots I always throw a turret at the start of a wave, because of heavy traffic there or just not wanting to get hit in the back so easily.  When a Banshee approaches, I try to get her to stop and play with it so the team can draw down on her.  When we're surrounded I deploy it close to help keep the shields up, although mine's an offense build so the help is minimal.  Other than it not shooting a specific target at a specific good time, I see nothing STUPID about it.

I guess I'm too busy to find faults in other player's characters.  The ones just standing around, THEM I see faults in...

1 to infinity - having only one button that a) activates the fetch objective, B) puts you in cover, and c) is used to revive the only other guy still able to be revived...and having the game pick the wrong one of those three to do every single time.

(Yeah, PC players can remap, xbox360 can't...Press A to give Bioware the finger on that design concept)

Following an AA, detonating every single warped ennemy only to see him/her use throw (several times in a row) right after the explosion.

For 7 goddamn waves.


Also another AA.
Talon I & Hurricane I + ULM. Didn't use the Hurricane btw.
Not using stasis at all (ie Phantoms, Phantoms everywhere butchering us).
Getting killed away from the rest of us on every wave.
Running up to ennemies to heavy melee them.
Getting instakilled 3 times in a match by Atlases.

There are some points where turrets can do more harm than good, blocking headshots and holding up enemies that will than come in force once the turret is gone.
The infamous lower staircase ind FBW comes to mind.

Doesn't make my top 5 though.

 edit to my own list, point 1.1: crybabies
so u mad cuz i stole ur kill? shoot faster next time. all i want is to win every gold game i play, so i'll kill whatever gets in my scope.
pissed off because i didn't revive you? don't run in to enemy spawn 10 seconds in to the wave and die 5 seconds later. don't mess around on the other side of the map during the blue circle objective (which won't just make me ignore your death during the objective but also on later waves because i can't be bothered to endanger myself for a for an egoistic kill****). 
freaking out because "everyone else than you doesn't know how to play this map" when your strategy is to "hold the fort" against the reapers on FB Ghost. There is no "holding the fort" on this map, and btw, you scored the lowest of all of us with me and my friend carrying your sorry ass over 11 waves netting you a nice 75K you never would've reached if it wasn't for us. (ok, maybe this one's a bit detailed, but hell, that guy was a royal pain.)
so you're a FBWGG farmer outside of your homeland? stop whining how i don't know jack about strategy. it takes two people who know what they do and play as a team when it comes to revives and stuff to win every map against every enemy on this map. i know where the spawns are. i know which spawns to block to make all our life's a lot easier. i shoot to kill. i dodge and cover like a baws. i take out enemies quick and with precision. i run for almost every revive. that's all the strategy i need. can't deal with that? go play Halo Wars.
etc.,etc.,etc... but i know how moronic crying about crybabies looks like, so i'll stop before it's too late. what it most probably already is. whatever, venting helps. the next douche i run in to will be thankful i did.
and yes, i am just that good. eat it. B)

Except we can't, not really anyway, We can make another key the "key that does it all", but we can't seperate the functions.

And you forgot run.

Run is the same freaking key as take cover.

Do i want to run from this phantom or duck next to wall right beside her?

1. When you use an Ops Survival Pack but the game decides to ignore it. They're for tight situations. What's the bloody point, if the next swarmer you pass can drop you?
2. When someone uses a rocket (early wave) on an enemy that posed no immediate threat. That Brute? Yeah, we could have killed it with our bare hands.
3. Teammates not using medi-gel on difficult waves. If we are dying trying to reach you and you don't have a phantom hovering, stop wasting the team's time and get the hell up. Can't count how many times people bled out for no reason. What are you saving your gel for? This is gold.
4. Being or having one person left alive on a high round; take out all the rough enemies just to get sniped across the map by one cannibal.

#2 Cannibal Grenades. First you go into cover cause a marauders shooting at you. Because of all the screen shake whilst biotic combos go off, you don't notice the grenade cooking at your feet. Boom.
#1 Having the game SUDDENLY SCREEN TEAR FOR NO REASON. Then you lose track of everything going on around you and you die.

If that Wave 3 is an enemy target wave, that player is probably better than you.


yeah. no. if you need your rockets on a wave 3 gold target objective you shouldn't be playing gold. or maybe that's just me. one rocket maybe if time gets short on the first one, but that's only if the rest of the squad insists on shooting everything else except the target. also, one rocket to initially clear out the blue circle hacking objective place goes fine with me, the defense of said place should be done without more cobras though. it's not a myth that rockets come in extremely handy on waves 9-11 (when you shouldn't treasure them like the memory of that first kiss Billy-Bob gave you.)


There is a purpose to using a missile on wave 3 to eliminate the first priority target.  If you kill a banshee / atlas / prime alone, then another one will simply spawn.  But if you can missile your target along with a bunch of other trash units, the objective is likely to switch to an easier type of enemy.

yeah, see?  you're terrible.  this is common knowledge.  rape the spawn with a missile, fight 3 Marauders instead of 4 Banshees, get a better time bonus.  I do this all the time, and yes, it always works.
