Do you think we should import character to be the main character in DA3?

I'm fairly sure they already confirmed that DA3 will feature a new protagonist.

I missed my Warden in DA2. It'd be amazing if we could do that, but games don't generally use repeats of main characters.

I'm not so sure that such an import option would be a good idea - you'd start out with a very high level character, and in my experience, RPGs tend to loose something once your characters become ridiculously powerful. That would necessitate ridiculously powerful opponents, and having level 20+ bandits just seems silly.
The option would be to drop your imported Warden back to a lower level, and that wouldn't be fun either.
No, I think the Warden's story is done with DA:O, and it's expansion + DLCs.

I'm quite sure there will be an import option, just not to generate the main character. I wonder if the Warden or Hawke will be available as party members, though?

Hope not. I don't want my Hawke or Warden any where near DA 3. I wouldn't mind importing my game choices if they were reflected in the new game but Hawke and Warden are all off doing their own thing.
Any Hawke or Warden import information would more than likely get messed up and I'd end up hating what they did to my character. Much better to start fresh and just hear someone talk about the exploits of the hero of Ferelden or the champion of Kirkwall.
I wouldn't mind finally meeting Fiona or some of the other characters in the books. Would love to have Wynne's son Rhys and his lady Evangeline de Brassard, from Asunder, join me or at least meet them.

The problem is the Warden age....the time line.
The Warden is not forever young, and have only 30 years to live. If import the Warden to DA3, he/she should be near the Calling or like Duncan or already die horribly in the Deep Roads

Whilst they (sadly) have confirmed that there will be a new protagonist for DA:3, they did say at PAX East recently that we will definitely be able to import our saves from Origins and DA:2 into DA:3, so at least our Warden's stories will have some impact.

I'm hoping for at least another chance of playing my Warden for a few hours worth on the new game just to show off his awesomness and how the whole of Thedas should make him Emperor Warden. Just for a few hours!

Shepard, Kratos, Sora, Marcus Fenix, Master Chief, Cole McGrath, Gordon Freeman and the entire Nintendo cast would like a word with you.
On Topic:
Unfortunetely, with Bioware's insistance on replacing us..I MEAN "expanding the fanbase," there would be no way for new players to import a custom Warden to use without resorting to presets, as in DA2's "Hero of Fereldan" default Warden.
Personally, I'm fine that the Warden has moved on. The Blight is over, so the Gray Wardens have basically returned to keeping vigil for the next one. Let someone else take up the mantle of world-saver.

I wouldn't mind being able to import my Warden into DA3, but not as the main character. I would like to see him in a "special guest star" role, such as an NPC advisor or quest giver.
