ME3 has many issues, but the ending is the biggest. I'm still upset that the journal doesn't even update, seems as if Bioware forgot how to make a Mass Effect game. ME2 intro is more polished quality and emotional wise than ME3's.

a. Bioware is indoctrinated
b. Bioware is attempting to indoctrinate us by basically telling us that synthesis is what all the cool kids do.

It is the best ending as in it requires so much EMS for it to be available. Also, it is the best Reaper ending.
Actually the best ending is destroy because it requires a minimum EMS of 4000 to get the secret ending that is only attainable by choosing destroy.

I would never pick synthesis, as an option it is disgusting. What the hell were they thinking with this option?
It all makes sense in the magical land of IT. It's either that or Bioware suddenly believes what Saren believes. Saren was a totally nice guy. Really considerate.

It's pretty obvious EA had an hand in this fiasco with ME3.

Let's not say why this is EA to blame, despite all evidence points at Bioware is only one to be blame.
Let's just scape-goat EA like everyone does!

Bioware should have had multiple endings (that differed from each other), and let the players chose their own "best".
Dang, that would have been like a choice-oriented RPG!

Kind of like Dragon Age Origins?
It seriously boggles the mind that they discovered the winning formula, then trashed it in all subsequent games.

When/where did Bioware say it was the best option?

It's a feeling that is derived from the game mechanics (it requires the highest EMS to make available), as well as the Catalyst's description of Synthesis (which is blatantly positive).
