In DA:O you can "marry" Alistair, and in DA2 you can "sware your vows to the maker together"(marry) Sabastian.

Now notice how in BOTH games there isn't a cutscene for the ceremony!

(but if you play the PC version there is an Alistair mod: )

So Bioware, i ask you to please consider adding in a wedding scean next time characters get hitched.

add your comments on how bioware might do this sucessfully, as well as what you would like it to look like, but keep in mind we will "be saving the world from itself" at the same time.

Marriage of your character with a companion character in a video game is AWKWARD O_O. Especially with the current animation that the animators make for the game :<; the voice actors are good but the animators aren't creating great animations for the characters to go with the fantastic voice acting.

I think the developers will take your suggestion very seriously for DA3. Then EA will tell them to make sure that it will be pay-for dlc. Cha-Ching!

I think it's something better left to the imagination, really.

I think the Alistair mod show brilliantly that it is possible to make gorgeous wedding cutscenes...

I'm assuming that they have reasons for not making them however - I mean they must know that we corny romance lovers want it :P

A nice idea, but would we be able to pick out the colors and theme? What about the flowers? (Is there enough Andraste's Grace for a proper bouquet?) And the food and wine...if I cannot have cheese that tastes like despair at my DA-wedding, then no...no thanks. I want no part of it. The romantic in me would not abide by such limitations.

A wedding scene like in Fable 3?

Discussing marriage is not the same thing as actually getting married.

I don't feel too strongly about this, an epilogue slide in DA:O is enough in my opinion (although I heard they made the writing a bit too ambiguous in the DA:O epilogue slide but I could be wrong)

Of all the things that I want them to spend time and resources on for DA3, this has to be near the bottom of the list.

Uhm, nope; no need for me to see my character actually marry my LI.

Sorry OP no positive reaction from me.Also as stated by Dakota Strider; resources can be spend in much better ways.

While this could be nice, I agree with the others: resources can and should be used better.
That is unless they decide to use a wedding as a big plot point of some sort, but I'm scared that they might try to pull a "Red Wedding"... Image IPB

You could just mod one like they did in DA:O, hell someone even modded a secret wedding for Cullen & Amell/Surana so it can't be that difficult:

Are you kidding? That would be amazingly cool!

... So long as our character and companions got the upper hand and killed the bad guys in at least one option!

It would be horrible.

Imagine that: you're about to get married, everyone's here including the Chantry sister and your family, vows are about to be made, and all of a sudden, some noble crashes  the party, bullies everyone with ominous death threats, and decides to take the bride away for nefarious purposes.

Bioware would never do that. ;)

I don't like talking about "red wedding" , you know , don't give them idea.^^
Because if they do that , i wouldn't be surprised if your LI dies...
I read interview of David Gaider mentionning the idea of a LI cheating , and i'm sort of scared now ...
About wedding , I'm not too fond of the idea .Though i'd like to see companions during more social events that don't include massacre. And I'd like an event where all your companions are there.
A party for whatever reason would be nice .
In da 2 hearing about them in the hanged Man , or Aveline wedding /parties ,and never actually saw anything , was a downer.

Oh,no,never    Good catch, Sutekh:)
Hmmm....I can live without weddings in video games,as well as IRL  The relationship is what matters, IMO.

I could think of more important things to spend zots on,but I would say,as long as it does not cost us really important gameplay elements / improvements, let those for whom this is important have their happy event.
I also saw the Alistair wedding mod on youtube, and it was really well done.

This is a waste of resources for players who constantly neutral/indifferent due to friendship/rivalry system.I'd rather they work more on expository dialogues to avoid the conversations being spread out too thin throughout the game. Party banter also need more rework because some players rarely change their party's members due to tactical combat and fast travel could bypass most paths where party banters are set up.

Red Wedding's the only right way to wed. Otherwise I hope my games will be weddingless unless there's a damn good plot-related reason for a ceremony to happen.

I like a good romance but weddings are rarely romantic at all. They are just crowded and uncomfortable. I'd rather have more meaningful intimate moments with a chosen LI than a wedding. Cake's the only good thing about them and you can't taste that in games.

Or perhaps I'm just jaded.

  I like the way you think.

Now that you mention the cake...if the cake is not a lie,I would get behind an in-game wedding idea for one reason
alone : Sten. Just imagine...Nothing stands between Sten and his cake.   =]

I see what you did there.

But really, if Bioware put a wedding into one of their games, and it would turn into the Red Wedding, I'd scream. That's how upset I was when I first read "ASoS"  Image IPB
