I'm rather surprised to see people finding what weapon a player chooses is that important to success and thus people getting kicked as a result? I'm not very experienced that is for sure but can you tell how much a person is going to contribute just by what weapon they prefer?

I occasionally have to talk people into letting my HS with a GPSMG X and Predator X stay in a lobby. I have also had GIs try to kick me after outscoring them with that loadout in Silver.

I've been kicked right away from the lobby. The funniest thing about that was that the team consisted of QI, SI and GI, all equipped for Gold match...but they were in FBWGS lobby.

Oh yeah, I was playing with Turian soldier back than.

Having the audacity of sitting on a spawn point during a hack (which means I wasnt getting any kills, mind you) so that the hack zone couldnt be flanked, and for not dying with the rest of the team while they foolishly tried to hold out at the LZ during extraction.

They were all fairly new at the game, playing on Silver.

i don't know about this one.  hack objectives on silver are nothing like they are on gold so i actually think it would be better overall if all four are hacking than someone camping the spawn point.  my exceptions would be hydra with either the LZ area hack or the stupid hack east of the LZ where they throw grenades down on you.  otherwise, in a silver match, i think it would be better if all four are hacking to get it done and over with asap.  then again,  i'm amazed if there's at least one other person hacking with me on any level.

I was playing Reapers Dagger Gold as a Krogan Sentinel. I was in third place but only about 5k points away from first. By wave ten I got intsakilled once and had been downed one other time, but got revived. Wave ten was 4 objectives. I'm in the middle of hacking one and a banshee starts approaching. Our Justicar (the 2nd place player) throws up a bubble... then runs away instead of distracting the banshee. I finish hacking, but I'm boxed in and get instakilled. The rest of the team can't finish the wave.

The Justicar starts whining "Wow you guys are baaaad. So baad. You suuuck. Why are you even in gold, scrubs?"

I respond "Hey, buddy, maybe you should cry a little more. It might make you feel better."

"Uhh maybe you should die a little more. Oh wait, you already died like 50 times because you're a bad."

I've been kicked purely for using the avenger X on my lv 20 AJ. apparently some people don't know how to play casters.

AA/AJ/GE -- GSMG x ULM and Avenger X piercing mod... CD 200%... I'm with you 100% (200% even...)

I guess some people figure every caster on their team needs to be using the carnifex so that they can headshot the occassional husk or two.

I REALLY suck at headshooting.... hence the Avenger X

Kicked out of bronze.

Was playing as a soldier, lvl 7 back when my N7 was 400ish or something. Everyone else were similar N7 rank so I assumed everyone was leveling their characters appropriately for Silver or Gold.

All went well considering. Remembered one of em was a krogan vanguard, asari adept and geth infiltrator (joined mid game).

The infiltrator lagged out and disconnected at wave 8 and at wave 10 the other 2 are overwhelmed by Phantom. Spammed grenade to clear the vicinity and revive the two, Went from 2nd to lead by 10,000 points or so somehow and the two spammed melee at me intermission to wave 11.

Assumed they "high-five" me for a good job, but after we finished the challenge they kicked me for no reason. From that point on, heavy melee just springs to my mind as dudes wanting to kick me out. =

I usually just melee between waves to goof around, implying nothing in particular. So not everyone that melees at you is taking offense to you in any way.

Your story just goes to show you though how fragile peoples'  egos can be.

Touche. (>3>)
Maybe I should've wrote I assumed random people's heavy melees are signs of being pissed, cause quite frankly as I said in my earlier post, I "Assumed they "high-five" me for a good job" just like me and my bros do all the time whenever one of us managed to pull out a "kneel down and hack" wave solo after the mission goes FUBAR.
(and yes, I still need practoce for Gold... =\\)

"Just goes to show you" that people can be edgy to random others kicking them out after a job well done(?).
Dunno if the statement goes only for me or some others as well but... meh. I said what I meant and I meant what I said. >=D

I mp on ps3. The only time I did pc was for Operation Resurgence (ie, before operations on ps3). All you had to do for the op was play on a new map. Got kicked from BRONZE lobby for n7 1 lvl 1.

Wow, sorry about that.  We're not all that lame, I assure you.

Perhaps they were lore nerds that were pissed off about the Widow being described in both ME2 and ME3SP as a geth weapon, but not getting the geth bonus in MP?

The only time I've been kicked from a lobby is as soon as I join, so I guess those are people waiting for friends.

I've been kicked while it's still loading up the lobby :

It'll be the loading screen over the match options, and I can hear gamechat, but then "You have been kicked".

I hadnt even joined, and I got kicked.

I've had this happen. Barely touch down to see whose in there and kick. Was kicked once while I was putting on my headset and only heard the last part...'then you can come back' .. I wish I'd have had time to say something back but I didn't. I guess I was supposed to be grateful enough that I would want to come back at some point Image IPB

I got kicked out of a silver yesterday because "this guy isn't level 600," which i'm a level 457, but apparently we need to be lever 600 now to play in silver. Oh well Spike, my batarian soldier, and I went on to have some fun games with other players.

I started a gold match with two of my friends when a 4th random person joined our lobby. Next thing I know, I see a red 'X' by my name. We weren't using party chat so this 'dude' starts asking my friends to kick me because I was using my lvl 10 Widow and lvl10 GSMG. wtf??

So we kicked him instead. I don't like kicking people unless they don't support the group or try to lone wolf the mission.

I once tried to kick a low level vanguard on silver. The other players must have guessed it was me and they then kicked me instead. The thing is, I didn't want that vanguard gone because of his level. I wanted him gone because he was carrying a Widow and a Claymore.

I don't kick low level players. If they need to experience their character failing miserably on gold to realized they better start slow, so they shall. It's a better learning experienced than getting kicked.

Once I got kicked out of a silver lobby by 3 lvl 20 guys for having a lvl 15 character. Silver, seriously? You can win a bronce match on your own with any class at lvl 15. So with four people it is more than doable on silver. Grow a pair.

The problem is that low-level players can get the whole team killed. Happened to me earlier this week: Had one person in the group playing a Level 1 character. His N7 rating was 2. And it was silver. And it was just as bad as you can imagine.

Oh, and just to clarify, when I made the remark about fragile egos, I was talking about the people that kicked you for having a higher score. I wasn't talking about you.

I will say this though, unless you have reason to believe otherwise you should always assume you're getting kicked because they're trying to clear up a spot for a private invite. Assuming theyre kicking you because theyre being a jerk will only serve to anger you. Best not to let that happen.

Another good one is when someone trys to kick someone with a low rank, you don't kick so then they decide to kick you and the low rank guy goes along with it

Another great variant of this I've seen several times:

1. High N7 player sees low N7 player, tries to kick him.
2. High N7 player waits for five minutes hoping everyone else will kick low N7 player. No one else cares. High N7 player finally gives up, starts game.
3. High N7 player rushes off by himself so low N7 player doesn't interfere with his coolness.  High N7 player then quickly dies.
4. High N7 player rage quits.

This actually happened to me one time, True story:

1. low n7 player try to kick high n7 player from silver lobby (me)
2. high n7 player (me) defiantly stays in the lobby and readies up
3. low n7 player finally leaves since the others wont kick high n7 player (me)
4. high n7 player (me) gets killed by fluke during wave 3.
5. 5 seconds later, I lose connection to the EA server, making it appear that I ragequit after dying

I only got kicked once, I joined a lobby on Bronze with my Turian soldier and one guy looks at my loadout and say: "Wow! a Talon Mark 9!" Then I get kicked Shortly after.

They were all N7 300 and higher and I was N7180. My Talon is a 10 now.

I see how that can be frustrating and I don't blame ya ;-) Me being an incredibly patient individual, I'll gladly help people find out the hard way that they might belong elsewhere for now.
