What happens if you decide not to kill her? I am just curious because for my first playthrough, I killed her.

I didn't kill her, nothing happens except you get the book and don't die multiple times.

You miss out on a chunk of exp and a pretty corpse to look at but otherwise the rewards are the same.

Oh, so she does not come back to haunt Morrigan/You? What about in the epilogue? Is she ever mentioned?

Well no, not in the game.  The future remains to be seen I think.

OMG!  Did you lie to Morrigan and tell her that her mom is dead?  That lady scares me.  I don't think I could lie to her.  Killing that old lady was less scary than morrigan is.

Killing her or not killing her makes no difference as far as this game goes (as long you get the grimoire) I like killing her cuz my PC is a sucker for Morrigan and will do anything for her :innocent:

XP is the name of the game and Flemeth is worth a good chunk.

And she looks cute as a dead dragon. Has anyone ever wondered what happens to her hut if she accidentally transforms during a nightmare INSIDE of it? No?

Just imagining a dragon sticking through the hut...

I bet Morrigan would disapprove...

LOL. But is there no mention of Flemeth during the epilogue?

Just go ahead and kill her ... it's a good training for 1-2 other dragons you might have to kill during the game ... ^^

I see a massive cliff hanger to be resolved/addressed in the future (DA2 or DLC) with killing/not killing Flemeth just like there is going to be with Morrigan. Besides, can you image the piece of work that child's going to be???

And if you kill Flemeth....does she stay dead?

Yeah, I'd be pretty disappointed if she didn't show up someplace later. Makes you wonder about what's canon.

I couldn't bring myself to kill her. Abomination or not, she saved my life, and that of Alistair. Were it not for Flemeth, Ferelden wouldn't have had a chance.

I killed her. It was worth it to see Oghren jump ontop of her head and go to town with his gigantic axe.

When I talked to Morrigan, she suggested Flemeth's death might not be permanent.  To me, that's pretty much a guarantee that Flemeth is coming back at some point in the DA series.

Are they the same?  Do you get the key and so can snag the robe from inside the hut as well?  Or do you only get the book?

I've only ever killed her, because, hey, chance to fight a dragon.

Good point.  She said something like, her spirit would just hang around until it could wander its way into a host.  Yeah, it definitely seems like we'll see more Flemeth at some point in time.

I killed her eventually, she was a cheap fight, I used a bow and alot of healing poltices.

I have no regrets, I'll let her live in my evil dwarf playthrough.

I thought if you left her alive and didn't do the ritual, one of the epilogues has her killing Morrigan. But this is second hand knowledge, which isn't the most reliable, so someone else should confirm. I usually kill her because she's going to kill someone else to extend her life, and at least this way I give Morrigan a fighting chance (however questionable Morrigan is, I don't think anyone deserves possession).

I chose to kill her so that I could get the massive amount of XP that you can get from killing her. Morrigan does mention that Flemeth is vanquished "for now" and will most likely come back later. Don't forget that Flemeth joined with a demon, and as with most aspect of DA's storyline, if you don't get to the demon, you don't really change anything permanently.

Flemeth gives you the key if you take her deal, so the item rewards are the same either way.

I took Morrigan to see Flemeth after her demise, and to my disapointment.. no response...no tear or even a kiss my butt... creeeeepy. So as they say, makes no difference other than xp.

My theory is Flemeth summons a dragon and while your off fighting the beast - flemeth posesses Morrigan's body and when you give morrigan the grimoire you are just returning it to Flemeth and she has planned this all to have the 'Old God' child - this would explain why she saves you and Alistair on top of the tower.

Otherwise she was just wasting her time and her life - she is way too crafty to be caught so simply.

Killed her in one because I couldnt stand the abomination factor and in another i let her live since she saved maric and also myself and alistair so I owed her that much either way it made no difference in the game except exp. And I believe either way she will come back in an upcoming saga either to antagonize your character for killing her or to help your character defeat morrigan???????? Or maybe just as a reference in some document or tome relating to this phase of Ferelden history.
