Try getting a certificate in EMT! Only 8 credit hours and you are set to be a fireman/ambulance driver.

Also, you probably know this and specifically used the term anyways, but "ambulance driver" is a derogatory term to EMS professionals.

Yes the technical term is Emergency Medical Response Unit/Team...

Yeah, actually they're generally referred to as EMT's (for Basic and Intermediates) and Paramedics. That's 3 and 4 syllables, respectively. Am-bu-lance driv-er. 5 syllables.
There are actually some EMS systems that use dedicated drivers who lack the medical training of EMT's.
Mall cop is actually flattering by juxtaposition since "cop" implies an actual law enforcement officer, as opposed to private security personnel.

Out of curiosity. When you will be playing with other Christians will you be talking religion during the game? Is it the religious swearing that offends you? (I have never heard anybody using your god's name in vain on ps3. Few f-bombs but that's understandable when you have reapers on your ass) If that's the problem you should just ask for friendly, polite people. Christians do not have to be polite and religious swearing is a very comon thing in for example Italy.

Anyways, people should just back off and either play with you or just shut up.

By the way. Where's the atheist thread? Locked? That's my cup of tea.

Even though I am Christian I kinda have a sort of "Seperation of Church and Game"

Not because I do not like to talk about Christianity, but because I usually play to have fun, not argue about trivial differences in denomination!

I hardly ever talk about religion in game since most of the time I am busy talking about just everyday life and/or what is happening in game. But if someone directly asks me to then I will go ahead and discuss it.

I also admit to dropping a few F-bombs if there are no ladies, children under 14, or easily offended people in the lobby.

Taking God's name in vain does not mean saying "OMG" or anything like that though... it means professing to be Christian but then not acting like it at all. Thus you took on the name of a Christian following God, yet you act like an atheist.

But...

Christianity would not allow us to play this game :

-homoseksual romances(not meant in any discriminating form)
-The starchild is a sort of god and IF shepard took control of the reapers hè would be a sort of god. Although the bible doesnt allow us to make an image of god in any way.
- The bible doesnt allow killing yet the whole game is about killing.

Sorry but threads like this are just weird considering its a videogame.

Wesus I like you more and more each day. Even if we disagree on FBW.

Why not?... Those are hardly good reasons because of the following.

1. You can avoid homosexual relationships entirely like I did. B)

2. Depending on how you interpret it... If you chose to even look at it that way. I thought Shepard was more like the supposed-to-be "Jesus" and the catalyst was more of a "Judas" betraying you to the disintigration beams.

3. The Bible has lots of times where God tells people to go kill other people... Moses for example was told to let the waters back down to drown all the Egyptians. ;)

Ok, I am a Christian. But you aren't doing yourself any favors with this thread. It may be late and you may be tired but let me show you the error of your ways here.

"Looking for Christians to play with."

"Not a religious thread."

When you use both of those statements it becomes a single oxymoronic statement (not calling you a moron, if you need to look up the word oxymoron).

And then you have the trolls. They will leave you their GTs and you will add them and OMG... you will be sorry you ever made this thread.

I'll leave my GT but not because you are looking for a Christian to play with but because I am generally a nice guy. Even though I get a lot of kicks completely trolling these forums and I sometimes actually enjoy making myself look like a jackass.

GT: VeteranSpace8

Glad I read the replies first. I agree with what he said, though my religious preferences will remain anonymous.  You should of posted about looking for friendly players who don't swear. If you don't care about religious preference, starting your topic with "Looking for some christian gamers" is going to give the wrong impression.

I'm not going to retort, but Wesus just made some of the most hilariously ignorant comments regarding the Bible and its teachings that I've read in a long, long time.

And Talon, this is not a religious thread in that it's not about anything but the OP's desire to find Christian players. The OP was clearly trying to avoid religious discussion and just get people to leave their tags if they agreed with him.

Unfortunately, the arrogance of some people doesn't leave room for tolerance, hence the thread devolving into petty arguments and tangents.

I know I'm contributing by arguing with them, but ignorance and arrogance withotu intelligence frustrates me too much to ignore.

Does it matter what they want to do? Will if affect you while they're doing it in their private game?

"Yeah!  You should only care about things that directly affect you!  No one else matters!"  Really?  <_<

I had a neighbor who tried to convince me to convert who then got offended that he could no longer convince himself of his own beliefs after talking to me and accused me of being "militant" and trying to forcefully spread my beliefs.  When he knocked on my door and came into my home and demanded that I read his book (or else!) that I could already quote passages out of and give context to better than he could.

Oh, the irony.  Partly due to people holding predispositions about themselves being right and everyone else that is opposed being inherently wrong.  Any encroaching on their "rightness (regardless of what belief it pertains to)" logically progresses to developing justifications and being victimized.

That might be the case but what we want and get are sometimes two very different things.

Seriously though, this is paramount to discrimination and it is as bad as asking to group up with people based on race, sex and sexual orientation, yes you might be looking for like minded people but is ME3 multiplayer really the place for that? Just think about it for a moment, i'm sure there are plenty of forums and websites where you can partake in such things.

No freedom of association? That's ridiculous.

No different from the "Looking for Gay Players" thread.

As long as they refrain from openly saying anything on the lines of "Christianity is the best and everyone else is bad" then the thread should  stay alive like the other ones.

Pray tell, how does an atheist act?  I've known many an atheist who acts more "Christian" than the regular church going crowd.

I'm sure you didn't mean offense, but you might want to work on your phrasing.

It never was a religion war. OP just wants to add christian gamers to play me3.

But then others that didnt like that decided to voice their pointless opinions.

Whatever the OP wanted, the result was painfully predictable
