Out of curiosity. When you will be playing with other Christians will you be talking religion during the game? Is it the religious swearing that offends you? (I have never heard anybody using your god's name in vain on ps3. Few f-bombs but that's understandable when you have reapers on your ass) If that's the problem you should just ask for friendly, polite people. Christians do not have to be polite and religious swearing is a very comon thing in for example Italy.

Anyways, people should just back off and either play with you or just shut up.

Even though I am Christian I kinda have a sort of "Seperation of Church and Game"

Not because I do not like to talk about Christianity, but because I usually play to have fun, not argue about trivial differences in denomination!

I hardly ever talk about religion in game since most of the time I am busy talking about just everyday life and/or what is happening in game. But if someone directly asks me to then I will go ahead and discuss it.

I also admit to dropping a few F-bombs if there are no ladies, children under 14, or easily offended people in the lobby.

Taking God's name in vain does not mean saying "OMG" or anything like that though... it means professing to be Christian but then not acting like it at all. Thus you took on the name of a Christian following God, yet you act like an atheist.

and as nate can attest from playing with me, I don't really talk religion in game;)

and the atheist thread got locked?  Why?  They are entitled to look for others like them just like I am.

If by religious war, you mean the very mention of religion getting flamed and shot down by people who have an oppositional view to that religion

I don't have any problem with gamers looking to play with like-minded people, but the whole way the OP went about it was wrong. This is a game that people from all creeds, nationalities, races, religions, and orientations play. We all need to be conscious of that. Saying that you only want to play with Christian players is a bit silly, and it sets a bad precedent for the segregation of the mass effect community, which is bad for the game itself.

I can understand wanting to play with more polite players, or ones who won't cuss on the mic. That's perfectly acceptable. Like I said previously, the only reason putting religious connotation on your thread is that it separates like-minded people, rather than brings them together. I am an agnostic, and if your thread would've been worded without religious affiliation, my gamertag would've gotten posted. Now... Well, you have 11 pages of thread with 6 or 7 tags.

Oh, the irony.  Partly due to people holding predispositions about themselves being right and everyone else that is opposed being inherently wrong.  Any encroaching on their "rightness (regardless of what belief it pertains to)" logically progresses to developing justifications and being victimized.
