I think religion based group is more comparable to any hobby or common topic of interest based group. If some one wants to play with fellow heavy metal, football, baseball, basketball, car tuning, computer overclocking, motor cycle fans or whatever, and discuss of their topic of interest while playing, why should anybody have problem with that?

That's what bible studies are for, just like baseball teams are for baseball enthusiasts, and so on.

We already have a common interest: this game. Why convolute that?

OP hasn't used his religious beliefs to belittle anyone, he hasn't preached, he hasn't made comparisons... all he's doing is using the Multiplayer forum to find like-minded people to make friends with. 

There is nothign wrong with that, nothing.

You need to learn to be more tolerant of other's views and not get offended/defensive at their mere mention or hint of them being different to your own.
