I don't see what the big deal is; he just wants to play with some people who are more sensitive to his religion. Generally, all that these threads are asking for is people who are more mature.

And so what if he only wants to play with Christians? Not every second of the game is spent strategizing, sometimes you want to just chill out and talk to people. And sometimes, it would be nice if they happened to share the same interests or principles as you. If some guy made a thread who wanted to talk with people about a certain type of music, there would be a lot less people offended by the request.

So if you don't want to play with him, that's fine. Just don't make such a big deal out of him for his preferences.

Thank you.  Apparently the word  "Christian" makes people uncomfortable.  Sad I only got 2 tags in this mess of a thread

So now OP has started trying to stop peopl posting in the thread he created? Haha easiest thing would be to start a new thread that's looking for "players that don't cuss" or something like that. Religion doesn't have anything to do with the gaming community. The only things that should matter are skill and communication.

I had a christian education and christian parenting.

But...

Christianity would not allow us to play this game :

-homoseksual romances(not meant in any discriminating form)
-The starchild is a sort of god and IF shepard took control of the reapers hè would be a sort of god. Although the bible doesnt allow us to make an image of god in any way.
- The bible doesnt allow killing yet the whole game is about killing.

Sorry but threads like this are just weird considering its a videogame.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

What Bible are you reading?  God sanctions killing in the Bible all the time.  He even gives people weapons to kill other people with (such as Samson's strength).  And does a lot of killing himself (and not just evildoers.  For example, he totally killed Job's family just to make a point to Satan).  And demands human sacrifice (I mean, everyone likes to tell the story of the angel saying "just kidding, we don't really want you to kill your kid, Abraham!" but they never seem to remember all the Bible stories where that totally didn't happen, like the story of Jephthah).

Should have known these posts were coming<_<

Wait are you seriously bragging about an Associate's degree.

Those are easier to get than High School Diplomas, and that's based on personal experience, lol.

On topic, just because you're religious doesn't mean you don't swear. And honestly, if you aren't swearing everytime you dodge some Ravager artilery, I'd really doubt your commitment to saving the galaxy.

/LOL!

You think Associates are easy?... (They are not at most schools... depending on the degree. My Digital Design degree is pretty hard since I need like 3 advanced programming classes.) :pinched:

Try getting a certificate in EMT! Only 8 credit hours and you are set to be a fireman/ambulance driver.

Well a few things there... FF certs are separate from EMS certs, though all firefighters are required to have very basic first responder's training and most career firefighters are at least certified EMT-Basic.
Being a paramedic would be the more comparable degree, which requires training equivalent to an associate's degree with quite a bit of field experience.

Also, you probably know this and specifically used the term anyways, but "ambulance driver" is a derogatory term to EMS professionals.

And back on topic, OP still failed to articulate what they were looking for:
-merely people that don't use language deemed offensive
OR
-specifically people that share a belief system

As it stands the topic title is ambiguous, and the thread will remain contentious. If the whole point is just to avoid swearing, we can really bypass a great deal of drama by making that known.

I was exaggerating about the Diploma thing, but.

Getting an AA can require some difficult classes, but they're surely nothing to brag about. I changed my major about 3 times while getting mine, so I got some pretty decent exposure. I only ever had trouble with the math classes (but that's because I'm generally bad at math.)

Interesting idea, but out of curiosity, what religion are you?  I just want to know so I won't say anything that will offend you.  Jewish and Catholic gamers always get so mad when I inform them that when I rapture out of my clothes and into the arms of our heavenly father, they'll be left behind to fight Anderson Cooper, his undead minions, and hordes of angry demons in the battle of Armageddon.  Btw, I love the idea of using microphones, anyone else feel like speaking in tongues in the lobby?

To the OP. You should make a group on the bsn network. I think it's a good idea, I just wish you would include PS3 and PC players also :(

Anyways, good luck with this!

Yes the technical term is Emergency Medical Response Unit/Team.

"Ambulance Driver" is a helluva lot easier to say and type though. I didn't mean it in a derogatroy way at all, my dad works at a hospital and he refers to them as ambulance drivers too! That is almost like saying that "Mall-Cops" should be referred to as "Private Law Enforcement Officers." They are generally accepted terms that people use to describe certain professions! I am not offended at all when people call me a gamer... it is what I do! I don't say "*AHEM!!!* It is called a 'Professional Video Game Champion' or anything.

Same here! I hate math...
When do we ever need to know what Y equals when the direct proportion of X is 63.2x greater than the square root of .0148? And even if we did need to know, wouldn't we have a calculator nearby?
