guys i have the solution and it works 10000000% promise so this is what you have to do

Locate AddIns.xml in "C:/Users/(Username)/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings" and edit it using WordPad or any XML editor. Replace all RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0".

Run the game and check to see if everything worked!

if it worked say it here so that the others can see that it worked

This worked perfectly for me.

Top marks to Hanibal

Doesn't work. Didn't think it'd be that easy to disable the game-crippling DRM.

The solution to my troubles was simple:  I just had to restart the DAU Service.  Due to the difficulty of figuring out that solution, I decided to post this in the event someone else might need it.  Additional details may be found at THIS LINK.

Yep, this worked for me! Thank you so much!

ok! if your like me and all this other information didnt work for you or you got confused as hell heres a stupid simple way i got all the DLC to stop being listed as "unavailable" , while ingame go to options, online, and check-mark "download previosly perchased content" then log off ingame and log back in, i apologize for any spelling errors.  this, i just found out today, is only a temp fix, you will have to redo the process untill it starts working again, still better then nothing i suppose...

For those (who like me) have moved the steam folder around:

the Windows 7 can't find the service. just make the following folders:

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins\\bin_ship\\

and then copy all of the contents from the Dragon Age folder wherever it is now into there and then start up your game and it should work.

(you MAY have to manually start the service)

Hannibal is a legend finally sorted my problem.

Spent days with the muppets from EA and got no help what so ever.

I think they need to be refreshed with the definition of insanity.

Spoke too soon. At least now I can play my previous saves. Only thing is all DLC are missing from game even though they show as 'Installed Content". Tried setting back to original and the "Unauthorised" shows up again.

If it hasn't been said, you always need to run the app as admin, or set it to always run on admin rights, or the official DLC's will be Unauthorized.

You are right! this definitely works for me XD

The another solution changing "1" for "0" in the file is not effective... I mean it seems to be fixed but ingame the items, locations and so on doesn´t appear or work. Thank you very much Elthunder

I ran into this problem after I had bought Origins a month or so ago and decided to pick up all the DLC and Awakening in the combo pack a few days ago and now everything is listed as "Unauthorized". Now I can't load my saved character (62 hours in and at the Landsmeet!!! UGH)... and it tells me that none of the DLC will be available if I start a new game. One of the most common suggestions in this thread was checking the DA:O updater file under Windows "Services". My problem is I don't see that program at all under "Services" so I have no idea if its even running at all. My game is 1.04 but the game specs say the Updater is 1.01, has there been any updates for that at all? I'm running the game as Admin too, just for the record.... Any one out there have any other suggestions for getting the Updated listed under "Services" or another good fix?
