guys i have the solution and it works 10000000% promise so this is what you have to do<br />
<br />
Locate AddIns.xml in "C:/Users/(Username)/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings" and edit it using WordPad or any XML editor. Replace all RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0".<br />
<br />
Run the game and check to see if everything worked!<br />
<br />
<br />
if it worked say it here so that the others can see that it worked
-----------------
If i do this i lose my blood dragon armor....
damn it, when Ea/bioware will do something about this stupid DRM?

I'm guessing it's a temporary glitch, and will be fixed soon?

I got my saves to work with disconnecting from the internet. I could play all chars without problems then, but this only works if your DLC's had been authorized once, I suppose. If you bought the game new or have reinstalled it....you are officially screwed until the server come back online.

I know, it´s wrong of me to suggest a pirate copy of the game. But as I see it, I have the right on my side... I bought a game (Dragon Age Origins - Ultimate Edition) and after that bioware betrayed me... continuously! By this I mean that the server bioware is providing is in my way when I want to play MY game... What right do they have to preventing me to access my account? If they not find a way to provide authority to my account in 99% of the time they need to rethink the web solution they have chosen!!!
(Sorry for my grammar, it´s not my strong part)

Sophis: I sincerely regret any difficulties you are experiencing. I have just checked with our update and found that there are some temporary issues with our servers. We are aware of the issue and our engineers are working towards a solution to fix this. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA for when they will deploy a fix but I hope it should be fix very soon. I need your co-operation and understanding in this matter.
DRM sucks.

Sadly, since you just reinstalled, the game will need to authorize online once... which can't happen until the server is up, I am afraid.
As to DA2, I encourage you to check out the appropriate forums... although I also caution that a lot of people are pretty passionate with both their praise and criticism. You may want to wait until you've played DAO and DAA... DA2 will only go down in price as time goes by. As far as DA2's DLC... it's handled differently and appears (so far at least)... to avoid the flaws that plague DAO.

p.s. Wow... that's a lot of initials. Hope that made sense...

EA must make up for this issue. Unfortunately, I can't login support site because of the silly unicode problem.
What a weekend of ill luck!! The character of DAL has lost progress, the saved games of DAO cannot be loaded, and I don't like to play DA2. (sigh)

Yeah, same problem here - the servers must have been down over a day now, looking at the posts here. This is incredible from a big-name publisher like EA, and WILL hurt them in the long run if, say, someone tips off the game media.
I agree. My faith in Bioware has seriously been shaken since the release of Dragon Age 2.
