Locate AddIns.xml in "C:/Users/(Username)/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings" and edit it using WordPad or any XML editor. Replace all RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0".
Worked for me after an hour of trying other suggestions. Thank you hanibal.gr!

Hey BioWare: If you're reading this, do us a favor and at least stop saying "We're working on it." Either fix it or f*** it. The longer you keep BSing us, the less likely we are to believe you (and be damned if I'm ever going to try Mass Effect after all this nonsense).

run the game
LOG OUT (not exit the game), but log out of the DA servers in either game
EXIT the game
re run the game
DO NOT LOG IN
This will run the game in OFFLINE mode. Since your DLC was originally authorized when you installed it, it "should" work
This trick let me run DAOA and DA2 despite their server issues
I suppose u could just shut off your router, dsl, or cable modem before you start the game to do the same as the above

Wait... is DA2 also experiencing issues? I haven't seen any posts about it in the DA2 PC Forum...

It's a bit ridiculous, really. I have no problem with DRM, I understand you've got to protect your IP, but if it's crippling the game then nobody wins but the pirates anyway. Whatever happened to plain old CD Keys? I really dislike this "have to stay connected to play" stuff people like to do these days. Seems like more trouble than its worth, especially when it gives you issues like this.

The ironic thing is that this problem only effects legitimite customers who are trying to support the developers by buying the software, but if I had just cracked the DLC I would be fine. DRM at it's finest by the sounds of things - Screwing over paying customers and not effecting pirates!
I'm really getting sick of DRM punishing legit people, good grief when will people learn that DRM doesnt work. Most games are cracked the day they come out so it doesnt even slow down people who want to pirate them.

If I wanted online servers and random crashes, I'd log into WoW instead >_<

I want to find the "genius" that came up with the log in BS for this game and throw them in the ocean.
I want my money back.

Not having an ETA! lol. nice work there. If the IT business I work with ran our online services like this, mate we'd not have any customers left anymore.

They should really work more on how to help those that plays their online games with a proper staff and not so incompetent personal that doesn't know what the hell they are doing.
In other words, EA should listen to those that buys EAs games and plays them, the so called costumers. This is my point of view on this matter.

I found a workaround for this. It's an issue with the DAO AND Da2 server as all my DLC on both games wont work. Here is what I did:
run the game
LOG OUT (not exit the game), but log out of the DA servers in either game
EXIT the game
re run the game
DO NOT LOG IN
This will run the game in OFFLINE mode. Since your DLC was originally authorized when you installed it, it "should" work

This doesn't seem to work for me, even with my wireless disabled. Anyone else tried this and been successful?
