Regardless, I pretty much chewed out the guy I got ahold of (Aaron) and told them I am expecting a full refund of the measly $5 I paid (Principle folks) for Return to Ostagar. He gave me all of Origins Ultimate for free, but everything is still unauthorized lol. I suggest everyone gets ahold of EA Games and asks for a refund at this point. Only way they're going to do anything is customers getting pissed asking for money back.

But now there are some of my purchased dlcs not shown at start and therefore I cannot start my old save in which I was sooo succesful with my dwarven alter ego...*sigh* And now I got the information that I could play on offline without re-installing everything...Too Late for me...
And I have still bought DA II but not Awakening and therefore I will not buy anything more...sry, but it seems that EA lost a certain customer with me because I always bought any Soccer Manager every two years, but now no never no more...

Something to think about next time you get some tech support person on the phone or whatever, and go off like a petulant child.
Carry on.

Now while I never would condone verbal abuse of a staff member who is really just doing what they're told and have no control over the current problems it makes sense that EA's tech support should probably by now have been briefed on how to deal with customers asking questions about the the complete and utter failure of the online service of one of their games.
I mean, is throwing out some random solutions that they know full well are not going to work REALLY the best they can do after, what is it now, 2 days?
You know, just something to think about.

Everyone likes this game, but if this keeps happening, I suspect it will get shelved and no one will buy BIOWARE games if this is a continuing issue.
Please fix this soon and permanently EA or BIOWARE.

Could EA or BIOWARE update all the gamers what they are actually doing to fix this problem in a repeating method on the forum so that we are all understand what the problem was and when the fix will be in effect?? This DLC problem is causing many gamers to do unorthodox things just to play a game so they can have fun. Maybe the DLC algorithim or whatever programming needs to be rewritten. Maybe EA or BIOWARE need to send out a CD with correction of this problem? a download?

i agree with sakudayo, because of this and the lack of update from bioware/EA, i'm thinking about not buying mass effect 3 and such
I agree also. It shows what kind of company Bioware is. It's almost like they simply can't be bothered to work over the weekend for an old game such as origins. That is no excuse though, if the Warcraft3 servers went down you could bet your ass that Blizzard would work through the night to get them back up within a matter of hours.
At this point I believe we are past the 70 hour mark, and that is simply ridiculous. Mass Effect 3 was my most anticipated game of the year, but let me thell you If this problem is not solved by tomorrow night I will swear off Bioware for good and not purchase any of their future games if we can expect more of this horrendous service.

However, if this weekend is an example of the level of care for their customers BioWare and EA have, I'm not too sure I want to spend anymore money on either one of them. When your DRM system lets the pirates continue to use your software while locking out legitimate purchasers, something has gone horribly wrong. Sure, their later products don't use this system, but they should have, at the least, unlocked the DLC from requiring a connection to their servers or patched in a different DRM system in a patch. I don't want to go and dust this game off in a couple years only to find they shut down the auth servers, denying me ever after access to content I paid them for.

That said, the response to this incident has by no means been competent. These forums are about as official a customer interaction interface as they have, so Bioware could have posted an announcement about a general problem and left it at that.
Though given the number of exact duplicate threads about this same subject matter (dozens) makes me think that it wouldn't have much mattered anyway since it's clear that people post before they think and before they even bother to look whether the issue is already being discussed.

That's what I was referring to...
This here is the exact reason that I uninstalled Company of Heroes and refuse to reinstall or upgrade it... The chance that this will happen and have the company controlling the server seem as equally uninterested in even mentioning it to their customers.
