i have given up on SP ever since I finished it...its bad enough my saves were already messed up with the love interests not being loaded properly...unless I take my ME1 game thats in progress all the way through I wont do ME 1,2,3 ever again. Only if I am really bored and decided to get the insanity achievements needed to get all the achievements for the game will i play SP in ME again. (ME 1 i might need to play again because I still need like 4 achievements)

dude why? its free dlc your not paying a dime for it
at least download it that way you have a legit reason to give an opinion on it
watching it on youtube imo is pointless and dosent really give you the right to critisize since you didnt play it yourself
You can't play anything with the EC, you just get to watch additional slide shows or cinematics. That's what BioWare, thus far, has indicated for the DLC.
So unless they've since said otherwise, their original press release said there will be no additional gameplay.
So what exactly are people going to "play" for themselves?

Edit: *Also hoping that the issues with the Lazarus Project get worked out by then.

It'll be their own Shep in the conversations rather than someone else's.

That isn't to say that I didn't like ME2 or even ME3 for that matter, it's just that the ending of ME3 killed the series for me.
That also isn't to say that I don't like Bioware games. I still have DA:O and ME1. I just don't think the sequels are even nearly as good as the original titles. ME1 and DA:O are classics and deserve a spot in my permanent collection. I wish I wouold have rented ME3.
In a totally bizarro admission I find the multiplayer of ME3 to be it's most redeeming quality. I didn't even think I would ever play the multiplayer either so that was a stunning realization for me.

But the point is, you still don't get to play anything. Selecting a dialogue choice during a cinematic conversation between Shepard and the GlowingChild isn't the same as actually being able to take control of the character again and playing through further levels of combat.
Not to mention, I'm sure there will be Youtube clips of every single option of dialogue available and its outcome. Unless you believe BioWare will actually make the dialogue options so variable that the ending people get truly will be dependent on their decisions throughout the series, rather than just expanding on what picking Synthesis, Control, or Destroy results in.

I am a slow player too and i love to have every single side mission, possible war asset collected. besides, dont know about others, but after every side mission (n7 one, not eavesdrop cause those are not really sidemissions) i tend to run around ship because every npc - squadmate has something new to say each time.
and ofcourse after almost every priority mission i do the ship routine and go back to citadel to hear some new npc-s chatter and see if there are some new eavesdrops to hear.
it took me about 55 hours both time i played to finish it.
in comparison, it took me maybe 70 hours to finish me 2 with all dlc-s and 60-65 for me 1.
Sounds like you play like me, and my playtimes would be the same as yours. That's reassuring then. Not too short, I wasn't sure if people were just burning through the game or it was genuinely a lot shorter.
I learnt my lesson anyway, I'll be mad busy with internships when the EC comes out, so I'm staying off these forums after release.

Let me put it to you this way, I loved the other two games. I played ME1 about 15-18 times and ME2 at least a dozen and it was a title I had planned to come back to for nostalgic value like I do the Fallout games from time to time but I traded in my ME1 and 2 the other day. I have no interest playing them again knowing where it leads to which is pretty strong given my lack of faith that EC really fixes much but I hope I'm wrong. I took no pleasure in selling those games. It made me kind of sad really given the absolute joy that playing them was and indeed ME3 is... until the last 10 minutes. I'm still blown away at how epically bad and nonsensical the ending is for ME3 that it inspired me to sell 2 of my all time favorites that I had intended to play again for old times sake. It's still shocking and disheartening to be honest. Yeah, "It's just a game" but I, like so many fans, invested a lot of themselves into it. It meant something... now it doesn't. Pity. It had such potential.

I have not played SP since the first week of launch because of the terrible ending and playing a come were ur choices dont matter when that used to be a major part just seems pointless. I have only played MP since then and am starting to get bored of it. Why did Bioware have to mess up the ending so bad. Whyd the promise closure and 16 different endings when theres only like 1 ending but three diferent colors.
Yup. No touching SP til EC comes out.
EC is in fact the only reason I haven't uninstalled the game.
This.
