Not surprised after Max Payne 3 !

I'm kind of surprised that Max Payne 3 was big enough that it needed to be on multiple discs. GTA might be more understandable though.

I saw my cousins playing VC, It was good but I prefer the original GTA3 to it!

San Andreas was the most fun among all GTA series. *likes to drive old planes*

Is Rockstar aiming to make GTA V the worlds most massive open world game that has ever being created?

Or are they just filling it up with cutscenes and forgetting to make the world feel alive, like they did with GTA IV?

RDD was a much better game than GTA IV. I have my hopes up that they'll learn from this. The world was very atmospheric and all the little events, challenges and miniquests just made the world feel more alive, even though most of it is just desert and GTA IV is in New York.

Not saying GTA IV was poor. But they've shown that they can do much better.

I have said the same thing many times and my friends disagree. Would have been the perfect game if you weren't forced to eat.

Am I going to need the world's biggest beast of a computer to run it like I did L.A. Noire?

My computer (Intel Core i7 @ 1.73 Ghz; NVIDIA GT425M; 4GB of RAM) struggled hardcore with L.A. Noire and it didn't cope much better with GTAIV which was way older :(

I know what I've got isn't exactly a gaming monster, but it goes alright with most games, but Rockstar games are just way too intensive for it :( (even The Witcher 2 ran okay on it when I compromised on quality settings)

I'm assuming they bothered to optimize and compress files in TW2. Rockstar shouldn't even bother with PC ports if this is the best they can do.

Rockstar never has been good at PC compression, even the titles over Steam arn't all that small, I think they really don't care for the PC market, just makes stuff for it to keep them silent.

I disagree. Some of the missions in San Andreas were impossibly difficult.

I also hate flying old planes.

That's another one of those "I have the overwhelming desire to smash my controller into the ground" moments. That mission pissed me off so many times.

It was somewhat hard the first time I did that mission. The second time I did it with no problems...

You just need to get real close to the train and stay off the high road.

I would've had an easier time if Big Smoke could shoot.

That's why I said get "close to the train" but I guess it still does come down to luck.:?

OMG I thought I was just terrible at the game!!! No that was just bad design because Smoke would shoot and either the enemies were like bullet sponges are he was a terrible aim. Didn't matter how many times I played through the game I had do that like 10 times before I got through it.

I didn't finish all GTA 3 missions. There is one mission that you have to destroy 7(?) street sandwich makers in several minutes ... sadly I never finished this mission in the given time!

While we're on stupid hard missions.
The RC helicopter mission in San Fierro or the one in Vice City! Anything to do with RC helicopters were just annoying as hell. How about the jet fighter one in SA where you had to fly around shooting others UGH. Helicopter controls in 4! Especially the final mission or the one in Ballad of Gay Tony to destroy a cruise ship and then chase the survivers on their boats! NEVER WANT TO DO THAT CRAP AGAIN!
And those are story missions.
Don't get me started on some of the side stuff like the worst for me was the firefighting and ambulance missions especially in SA for me. Only chance i had to get these were in a small town like the one just under Mt Chiliad. And OMG the freaking vigilante missions in 3 and VC where you can't lose the cop care until your done are you fail all the ones you've just done. Thank god they fixed that in SA and 4.
Thats one thing I love about 4 the stuff you can do with a cop car is easier to handle because you can do one at a time and if you lose the car its all good.
Phew I must've been a masochist to have gotten 100% on all of these because looking back some of this don't seem so worth it.

I'd need about 90h to download it with the fastest connection available where I live. During that time the internet would be pretty much unusable because of the bandwidth limitations.

And I bet my left nut they use the same clunky animations and the same crappy gunplay.

The euphoria engine is kind of awesome imo. It makes the gunplay fun in GTA IV and Max Payne 3.

The only thing about the Eurphoria engine that is awesome in GTA if just constantly nudging people over while in the car. I could do it for hours, pick a target and just ****** them off.

Rockstar seems unable to make a good flying mechanic to save the lives of tied up on railroad track loved ones.

Rockstar games have never been known for their gun play. There's a reason for that. Gun combat in SR3 is far better.

I haven't played much GTA, but I thought the gun play in RDR was much improved from GTAs.  With that said, you're right: it certainly isn't a strong suit for Rockstar.

So....minus huge worlds...what actully makes them special?

Driving? ehh seen better...

Flying controls?...ehh. No

Shooting, no.

Story, no.

The onyl thing that was special about them was they were one of the few if not only sandbox game makers, but if that keeps changing around more so with Bethseda putting out more steam, it makes me wodner where short of fan boys at least Rockstar will stand in the next few years. In what it can bring to the table.
