Great. Now how sex is affected will determine whether people choose Synthesis or not *chuckles*. So much for our priorities. ROFL....

....not that this isn't a serious consideration for me as well *cough*.

Damn it, Ieldra. This is what you should have said all along! "The sex will be amazing!":o:o:o

It should be the top argument in the original post IMO.

It should be the only argument. Everything else gets in the way. :P

tl;dr "The sex will be amazing!"

Great sex, better multitasking, transcending mortality, no more war, we probably have new ways of consuming energy without needing to eat, glow in the dark eyes, wifi in your brain, the ability to communicate long distance without needing any equipment, can probably reproduce with any species now, may not even need to sleep anymore... So what does control or destroy have thats so damn good? B)

Plus I bet even a Krogan would be a beast at Chess.

Personally, I'm tempted to ignore the first parts as a legacy of the original endings and take the EC exposition as canon, especially since they don't make sense in the first place. I wonder why the writers didn't do away with them when they made the EC.

Frankly, it doesn't make sense to take the original ending as canon.  If you had an analysis of the end of ME3 and it was contradicted by the EC everyone is going to say that you are wrong because of the content in the EC (or other DLC).  So you might as well take it as the actual ending.

No.
DLC is never canon, the games endings on the disc are and always will be the canon endings.

Arrival was considered canon, as well as LotSB. Bioware said the EC endings were the definitive endings to ME3. I'd say the case is clear.

Plus its not like there's some law that says DLC endings cannot be considered canon, that really just comes down to opinion.

Yup, I never downloaded it so it's not even an ending for me.

EC is different, EC directly involves your Shepard solely.

Arrival and LotSB happen no matter what even if your shepard doesn't do them.
The canon is they happen.

I'm curious as to why a Bethesda fan would spend hours discussing a game that they claim is not worth buying, and then not actually buy DLC from the company they shill.

I never bothered checking but you could probably get addons to change that anyways if you wanted. Addons are headcanon made real.

so back to hot synthesis action...

It could be pretty amazing with amplifiers and preamps and stuff. All about the vibrations, yo. It would be all about universal ports

but we shouldn't forget old school techniques tho. Synthesis ushers in the next age of pleasure... :)

i have a curious question about synthesis

the catalyst says that it cannot be forced and what not. but also says that shep is ready. so assume that means humans and such. But what does that mean for races that are not. or the races that have not advanced past lets say the Iron age ( i know it would not be the same but giving a idea ) would it have the same affect on them?

I mean what does it mean by "ready"? because not all races can be ready for it , i mean not everyone will feel the way shep does, or have his or her understanding of things. If anyone has watched SG1 , you have to reach a certain level of consciousness or whatever to ascend. so if it is something like that i doubt everyone will be ready.  Well guess with out knowing what the catalyst meant by ready not sure how it would affect teh galaxy.

and it shows it changes the leaves and what not so doubt it is just limited to the known races

Tad concerned for those that are still stuck on their planet is all , how synthesis would affect them

Of course I meant the one by Iggy Pop! Why would you listen to the other one? Are you as high as Iggy was?

A more appropriate song for Destroy might be "Something I Can Never Have"...

I don't know. I was thinking about Iggy and music for Destroy.

Why not Search and Destroy?

And I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searchin', searchin' to destroy

I apologize for this but I HAD to do it Ieldra.

And behold the theme music for Synthesis!

... I just hope that the whole proposed machine empathy/telepathy thing has an metaphorical off-switch... and if it doesn't, then I feel sorry for anyone associated or in the vicinity of Joker...

The dude has SEVEN ZETABYTES of PORN! That's more space than the entire current internet! (which was forecast as reaching a total 2.7 Zettabytes this year!)

I don't even wanna know the kind of things he's thinking about.... colossal pervert doesn't cover it enough I don't think!

(This is my attempt of being light-hearted...)
