But they won't be. It's like Homer Simpson said. No matter how good you are at something, there's always going to be someone better than you. It's inevitable.
I have a solution. Kill them.

I'm willing to take that route, though it's going to be very painful for the other people. I alone will be at the top. Everyone else will be subservient and inferior.
The most astonishing part is that you expect others to take you seriously after you dump brainfarts like this all over the place.
Or just lunacy. And now we get to the dark underbelly of transhumanism...

The most astonishing part is that you ever took me seriously at all.
I have a solution. Kill them.
But kill who? How would you know? Never underestimate the cleverness of other people, especially if you turn enough of them against you. Like Admiral Ackbardo said: ES UN TRAMPA!
I'm willing to take that route, though it's going to be very painful for the other people. I alone will be at the top. Everyone else will be subservient and inferior.
And what if you fail? This isn't something where you can just say "I won't fail." You don't know that. If you're putting yourself in conflict with everyone else, there's every chance you'll lose. And then you haven't won anything.
In any case - why is it important to you to be at the top? Power is just a means to an end, it isn't a goal of its own. Once you're at the top, then what? Why do you want to be up there?
The most astonishing part is that you ever took me seriously at all.
Ah yes, the haha-I-was-only-joking-you-stupid escape.
So all this you do here is one elaborate scheme to trick us all into thinking you're a pscho?

Not all of us Cerberus supporters are like this.
This is true. However, it does make you wonder if humanity in general is ready for this kind of responsibility if we still have lunatics like this running around.
I call it the shining beacon. The power to control all of reality.
It's why I support Big Brother.
Sounds more like you support Lord Vetinari's "One Man, One Vote" policy.
Provided we're still around to create technology that can actually take us to other stars, we'll still have lunatics.

Yeah but it would be nice to have a way to counter them so they don't become a threat to themselves or others.
Lol, it's not like some zombie pandemic, where crazy people swarm the streets, gnaw on people's arms and spread the insanity.

Yeah but we'll still have these Lex Luthor wannabees wrecking it for everyone.
I disagree. She does do it, as does any biotic; If she couldn't do it, nobody would have survived. Yes, Samara and Jack have more power reserves than she does, and that prevents a death, but it's still sound advice. I'd wager to say that I feel her advice is usually more prudent than anyone else's.
It wasn't 'torture' that gave Jack her ability. It was the experimentation and development of physical alterations and upgrades that gave Jack her power. You're taking a misinformed and inaccurate view of the circumstances and presenting them in an untrue manner.
You just love not to agree with someone, right?
If you dare to judge a biotic only by it's ability to create biotic barriers, then what about Thane and Jacob? They can also create and maintain it, thought they fail the same at the end as Miranda does. And while talking about it, what about every biotic NPC that can create a such a barrier and sustain it, like that asari in the beginning of the Thessia mission in ME3?
If those examples doesn't make you think Miranda is just a big mouth regarding her biotics, then you're simply blind.
And while I agree Jack has had improvements apart from torture (although conversations on Pragia explicitly says that they were "using torture as a means to break down mental barriers and leave room for more biotic power"), you could say that no post-birth improvements could beat perfect gene tailoring. Unless perfection isn't a big deal afterall ![]()
I never left it.
I'm a megalomaniac. I want to be god. It's the appeal of Control at least. Problem is, I want more than just reaper control. I want to control the very fabric of thought.
I'm willing to take that route, though it's going to be very painful for the other people. I alone will be at the top. Everyone else will be subservient and inferior.
This seems tremendously boring. I can agree with wanting to be a god -- that's quite a laudable goal. But the stagnant repressive universe you're envisioning doesn't really do it for me. I want the future to be interesting, not a space-age North Korea. Reality is boring enough as it is with all the monkey-politics people play.
What would really be awesome is if you could just make everyone entirely invincible and self-sufficient. This appeals to my megalomaniac tendencies, because it would mess things up for every sociopath and power-hungry type for the rest of time. ![]()

No, just boredom mixed with a sick sense of humor. I've done it before. Crutch is the only one who really who really caught on.
Granted, I do largely believe in the view I'm espousing, but even I'm strawmanning it to for an egregious case.

Eh, I would actually be a pretty lax leader beyond the politics. Freedom of thought, religion, knowledge, economics, what ever they want to ****** at for life. We'll keep advancing. I'm not necessarily going to be a controller of thought and emotion, as long as it doesn't interfere with my reign. That's one thing I lack; I have no desire to be worshipped. But they'd have to acknowledge that I am their god, their master, their man. I may not be worshipped, but I will be obeyed.

I want to make things the way I want them to be. I want to make sure things stay that way. I want to make sure that we grow and progress from there. Power quite literally is the goal and the means. It's true freedom. True freedom can only ever be for one person.
Massively, are you legitimately pro-dictatorship?

I don't think she's a big-mouth about her biotics. I believe Thane and Jacob are capable as well as fully trained and powerful biotics afterall. As well, I'm clearly leveling Miranda's abilities in terms of human ability and capability, not alien. Alien examples are irrelevant. We're never given any indication as to how powerful Jacob is as a biotic. We have no scale for whether he too is an above average biotic or not.
Massively, are you legitimately pro-dictatorship?
Legitimately? Yes, though not to the extent I'm rambling on here.
I don't believe in limited government, and I certainly don't believe in democracy.
Massively, are you legitimately pro-dictatorship?
I hope so. Pro-dictatorships always legitimate resistance movements. And fun ![]()

We're never given any indication about how powerful Miranda's biotics are neither. Apart from her big mouth. And her failure at maintaining the shield.
Same failure as Jacob BTW. Should I then assume they're in the same league? Again, so much for perfection... ![]()

No, I'm saying that Jack's altered abilities spike much higher than what a human would ever normally be capable of.
And yes, I do believe that Miranda is a truly gifted biotic. The game tells me, and she tells me. You seem to be antagonizing her. Why?
