Tried to watch Redemption recently , and i shouldn't ...It's been a painful experience .The writing seems to be some not really good fanfiction .
I wouldn't mind having her back in a game ,she's pretty charming but i don't want her to write anything Dragon Age related ...

There's a reason people are alright with her cameo and not the "Diana Allers" thing.
I'm not seeing where that has come up in this conversation, but okay.
DA: Redemption had some flaws, but I enjoyed it overall. I didn't really see anything wrong with the writing.

I wouldn't mind having her back in a game either, but I'd like to actually be able to contradict her this time. When she's going on about how lovely the Qun really is, and mage Hawke is stood there, unable to come up with a better argument than "they are tyrants", it's a little annoying.

That's a different thing altogether. One is a character that was written for a DLC and web series and the other was an obvious handjob to IGN. The fact that Chobot's face didn't translate well into ME3, making her look more like Snooki than anything else, didn't help either.

As for Redemption, it all felt... predictable and rushed in terms of characterization of Tallis and her LI.
Josmael and Nyree -- was that her name -- were great though.

And this is a problem I have with Bioware lately. This in conjunction with MotA's craptastic anti-Qunari ending demonstrates a clear lack of actually thinking about the other perspectives people in Thedas may hold to certain things -- all of which is compounded further by DAII's horrific instances of plot railroad, auto-dialogue, and bad paraphrasing.
I mean, at least in DAO your Mage Warden could actually have a genuine talk with Sten about the treatment of Mages and actually argue it.

You wouldn't happen to remember just what you talked about, do you OP? I mean, Tallis obviously, but I mean specifically.
Yes, why?

We talked about the Bioware forums actually and she seemed quite affected by the reaction that the DLC and mini-series received. She talked about how much lore she read in order to create a realistic story and just how much of herself she put into it all. Redemption was done on a very very strict budget and she talked about writing the script and budgeting some of it herself (IIRC...don't quote me on that...)
The con was only a few days after Bioware announced they were going to do a monthly question to get feedback from fans and I asked her if she'd heard about that (she hadn't so I explained) and we talked very briefly (the people behind me in the queue were getting antsy by this point and wanted their stuff signed xD) and about how much fan involvement was too much. We briefly talked about the reaction to the end of ME3 but not at length because she'd mentioned at her panel earlier that day that she wasn't going to play the last game until the extended DLC was released, which it hadn't at the time.
Then I thanked her for her time and buggered off lol. I think the people behind me were getting annoyed we'd talked so much - maybe about 5 minutes? I think she was grateful to just have a conversation with an English speaking person at that point lol.

Mostly this, though I assume you meant Mark of the Assassin. I didn't particularly want Tallis to just leave with that information.Beerfish wrote...
Tallis was a pretty well written character and well acted however Redemption made a serious error in totally restricting the player from, challenging her when it became apparent she had an agenda that may not have matched with the players.

Ah well we actually mainly spoke about the fan reaction to MotA and Redemption. Prompted by the fact I asked her to sign my DVD with 'Keep Qun and Carry On' ala my signature line here.

What was her opinion on the supposed "anti-Qunari" ending of the DLC? Surely she couldn't have thought that was well done, where Hawke simply lets Tallis go without even trying to get the scroll in a genuine fashion?
That was the crux of my problem with the DLC, where Hawke can't show any intelligence in what's presented before him -- a problem common in DAII. Well, and a few minor issues with its general design. The story we were presented with was fine, until that ending moment in the DLC which all but forces you to be pro-Qunari -- and by extension, kills any incentive to be anti-Qunari in the main game.
Redemption was okay. Not great, but not bad either. I think its problem suffered from trying to do too much in a short amount of time -- compounded by what you said: a strict budget.
I wonder if she's secretly lurking on the BSN....

Others because of the anti-Qunari ending which sucked something awful. And so on and so forth.
I don't hate her, but I did hate how the anti-Qunari "ending" was handled.

I don't dislike her for those, but the DLC is far the poorer for that. Some people disliked her for trying to glorify the Qun. Others because of the inability to challenge her on the position the Qun takes towards Mages.

Why did people hate Tallis? Was it the way she looked or what she said? I thought her character was interesting and well developed.
I dislike her because she is ugly (Felicia isn't, of course, but the render of her face on Tallis is), because her voice is poorly acted (again, Felicia is funny and I love watching her videos and much respect to a fellow geek girl, but her voice acting of Tallis was not the best), and because she "stole the show" from Hawke (and his LI) for me.
I greatly resent the fact that I had to leave behind my LI and my other companion for virtually half the game. It was frustrating! I bought the DLC because I wanted to spend more time with these characters ... not less.
