Shepard's side wound after he's forced to shoot Anderson

It's almost as if it's been taken from "Fight Club" and it seems like a very strong indicator that the sequence on the Citadel is not real, IT or not.
This little fragment cannot be dismissed as lazy design/writing on BioWare's part. When Shep is sitting there with Anderson the camera very purposefully lingers over his left side as he reaches for it with his hand and we can clearly see his hand covered in fresh blood.
This wound IS NOT, I repeat IS NOT from Marauder Shields's shot, because that hits Shepard in the right arm.
Now, I would very much like to believe IT but I'm seriously doubtful about it. This "wound in the side" thing is what could be considered a strong indicator the scene is not real. Any thoughts on this subject? Somebody have an explanation for this that doesn't involve a dream/hallucination?
I've seen a video that says Anderson is shot in his RIGHT side. That would render the whole thing mute, but it seems that Anderson is really hit in the left side. From the line of the gun it's hard to tell where the shot is aimed and Anderson clearly grabs his left side after being shot.

Yeah, but people have reason to believe it wasn't from that shot.darkchief10 wrote...

1: Marauder Shields shot you in the right shoulder, not left side of your body.
2: He suddenly starts bleeding when Anderson dies, he doesn't bleed excessively before hand for some reason.

Read the OP again please. Marauder Shields shoots Shepard in the right shoulder.

It can't, because when something's lazy it's meant to save time/work/resources. Ergo, reusing textures is lazy. Removing something is lazy. Not ADDING something. The camera shows the wound, it lingers there for a good while, that's an added scene. If you're calling creating something additional lazy then I envy you because you might be the most hardworking lazy person in the world.

"hey so shepard is still bleeding from the reaper death beam can you get the guys down in animation to whip us something up?"
Animation: "Crap crap! 1 day left till release, quick just use the same EXACT animation as every single bullet wound in the game. Shot in the foot? grab your gut!"

Yep, that's my face-value opinion of why this happens.

I'm beyond giving Bioware the benefit of the doubt.
Again, I'll point out that if Bioware did do it this way, it's worse than flat-out bad writing. Because it means Bioware sold millions of copies of an incomplete game.

I dont think Bioware need to spell out every little detail like where he was shot, was it a cannibal or a marauder or friendly fire? was it a widow, or a carnifex? who cares? He got shot, and is dying... thats it. We're just putting a little too much thought into this... Bioware would not go into such painstaking detail

Already did. SWtOR. Entirely incomplete. Furthermore, KotOR 2 was also entirely incomplete. Didn't sell as much tho.

Yet the IT is at least far more entertaining than the usual "Bioware is stupid" arguments that plop up everytime...

I don't see how a bullet wound in your right shoulder translates to a suddenly gushing wound in your left abdomen. As a healthcare professional, I don't think that's really... yeah, no.
