It couldn't possibly be a wound from Harbinger's giant laser...

does no one remember marauder shields shot you there before you killed him? seriously?

lolololol

Yeah, just I'm fairly certain he didn't hit Shepard there.

Actually 100% certain.

It was an 'artistic integrity' bullet that hit Shepard. Artistic integrity really hits Shepard in the gut.

First time I saw it I assumed it was a cauterized wound from the reaper beam. I figured all the moving around opened it up.

After watching the Acavyos video it seems like compelling IT evidence.

Too much emphasis on Mr. Shields' shot placement (direct center view of screen, right shoulder), combined with acid-trip scene with TIM and Father Anderson= Harbinger (Star child) is attempting to mind rape you.

Say what you will about Bioware, but they don't make mistakes like that. Same with Sheps eyes after synth/control combined with Sheps newfound resolve when shooting at the Destroy pipe. He's breaking free. I believe IT, but some of the "evidence" reeks of desperation

Has anyone noticed that Anderson nurses his gunshot wound for a few seconds, and then he never touches it again?

Fight Club? Does than mean Shepard is Jack's Colon?

And Star-Jar is Jack's smirking revenge. Remember that little grin in the control ending?

There's a lot of explanations for when Shepard could have been injured in that part. Maybe it's not a gunshot wound but shrapnel and not lethal. The emphasis on Anderson's wound is an indication of him dying, nothing more. Of course, I'll wait until the EC and see what Bioware had planned from the start.

I remember being shot in the right shoulder by Shields. Not the left abdomen.

Maybe it's just symbolic to show how much you have suffered to bring the threat to an end.

Nah.  I'd think being spaced with a suit rupture and then being painfully reassembled and brought back to life would sum it up better :)
The video in ME:2 heavily hinted that Shepard also experienced planetary re-entry without a ship.

When Ash was laid up from a punch, I had little pity for her.

This little fragment cannot be dismissed as lazy design/writing on BioWare's part.

Sure it can; I'm doing it right now.

And you know, Shepard had that limp in ME2... his head was always tilted when running. I mean, that's proof of IT right there.

Then why does the wound start getting worse at that particular time? As far as I know, wounds close up over time, not open up.

In addition, why would that giant freaking laser only cause bleeding in that area of the body? If that beam was as strong as any other reaper beam shown in the series (and it should, its coming from Harbinger), then it should have completely killed Shepard, not merely knock him out. Shepard was simply too close to that beam to only do that amount of damage.
