I never thought the point was to be scared or intimidated of Kai Leng. I thought he was supposed to be an annoyance, a blowhard full of himself little ****bite in which you take immense glee in putting in his proper place.

I mean, his claim to fame is stealing combat medals from other people. He's a piece of **** that thinks he's THE ****. Breaking his sword in half and putting him out of my misery was a wonderful "**** yeah" moment.

Pretty sure that was the point of his character from the start, an overconfident lackey. His attitude screams it, so I don't get why everyone complains about him not being a serious character. I don't think he was meant to be, honestly.

Lets face it this character was an unneeded pain in the *** he was meant to be an Anti shepard, But instead he was the only real boss in the game but played more like a godmodded version of the Giacomo in Baten Kaitos Origins, Annoying and always getting his but kicked. REally I liked how ME2 did the boss fights. Making Kie lang have instant kills, the ability to ignore Singularity and Stasis, also the inability to knock him off when he's trying to insta kill. All I wanted was for shepard to verablly abuse him to the point of tears

It's been too long. Time for a new KAI LENG story of BADASSNESSERY.

Most kids at age 15 are part of petty criminal gangs, getting traumatized by batarian slavers or jumping ship-to-ship with their lovable parents while being a mama's boy. LT. Bad Ass Kai Leng just wanted to punch a krogan's hump in. So he decided to sign up for the marines. In addition to face exploding feats of ultimate destruction, Kai Leng pissed off his superiors and had them kissing his feet at the same time. From routinely crushing turian skulls in bar fights and headshotting mercs from a lightyear away with his harpy pistol, no one could wear the N7 patch with more badassery than this man.

This. And the fact that he fails practically every mission he's assigned. In the novels Anderson stops him from accomplishing his goals and severely wounds him. This is a guy we're assuming is not a very agile man wounding a f****** ballerina/ninja, because, yes, Kai Leng dances around like a woman in a leotard.

Anderson pulled a punk move and was terrified of Kai Leng so much so that he didn't want any of him in a 1 v 1 after that first ass whoopin'. I also recall Grayson being double tapped just prior to KL being shot in the back. Perhaps you're getting confused with that Fail Ling dude from that Decepticon book?

And that wasn't a terminally ill drell. That was Triple OG Mothafuzzin Thane Krios, that baddest man in the uni not named Shepard, Wrex, Garrus, Grunt or Leng. KS couldn't stop his batman level maximum powers. It only slowed them down, so over time he no longer could stand toe to toe with KL. Fortunately for everyone in the room, they were able to stop duecing their pants in awe or they'd start emptying their intestines. Nobody wants that.

If he had rigged the support pillars on thessia with explosives and pulled the trigger himself then Imight have respected him a little bit more... But as it stand he needed more capable people to do the job while he was getting torn to shreads begging for help from his more capable friends while pretending to be tough.
