No-one else would get a look in.  I used to think that the rest of the squad would talk about us three in ME1.  "Oh, I see Shepard's taking Liara and Ashley on the mission... AGAIN" as we 3 girls excitedly giggle our way to the airlock.
I recently played through a bit of ME1 getting some footage and I'd forgotten how much of a biotic wielding lunatic Liara is in combat.  By the time I've ducked into cover, she's already sent the enemies rag dolling all over the place and running in to finish them off with her warp and assault rifle.  Happy days 

If we are including 'guest stars' I'd have to say Aria T'Loak in a DLC mission to help her take back Omega from TIM.  There you go BW, I'll throw money at that one.

Tali - LI. ME1 her tech skills make the game easy, not a fan of the drones now tho.
Garrus - Cannot do it as stylishly without him. Insane damage and good abilities
Zaeed - Just incase Garrus isn't badass enough. Also insane damage.
Jack - Love her look and attitude in ME3. Always can use a good biotic.
Kasumi - Funny, cute, and shadowstrike.
Wrex - Shepard.

Seriously though my squad would be:

1. Tali- My favorite character in the series nuff said.
2. Liara- She's a very good friend? Yeah i'll go with that plus the biotics.
3. Grunt/Wrex- I just freaking love these guys.
4. Kasumi- I enjoyed her character very much and I loved her humor. I could do without her glitching herself into oblivion all the time tho...
5. VS- I like Ash's attitude and Kaidan became such a bro lol.
6. Legion or Samara- Legion doesn't really need an explaination pretty much everyone loves him. And Samara well she was just badass.

1. Kaidan - because he is sentinel and fits everywhere. And cant be killed that easily. His powers in ME3 were just amazing. Reave, Overload, Cryo blast...
2. Garrus - Conclussive shot. With Kaidan and Garrus in my squad I can constantly spam Overload and not to mention look cool doing that.
3. Mordin - inicinerate and because he is just amazing.
4. Legion - my own tech fanboy with M-98 widow
5. Kasumi - yeah flashback grenade OR oneof the Krogans as I need a good tank.
6. Samara - well I wanted a pure biotic and since I cant stand Jack and Liara. And they die quite easily

1. Miranda. She defeated death itself when she brought Shepard back to life, my Shep has a big debt to her., and she is my LI. Besides, Ceberus missions would be a lot more interesting with her in the squad.
2. Jack. Because I want some banter betwen her and Miranda, and I need the biotic psycho in my team.
3. Legion. Because that unit has a soul.
4. Javik. Because he is the only good squadmate from ME3.
5. Grunt. Because I need a soldier in the team.
6. Ashley. Just for a dialogue betwen she and Miranda.

1. Ashley - My LI need a heavy hitter since I play as a Sentinel wish she had more dialogue in ME3.
2. Wrex - Hes to much of a bad ass to not have with you and besides everyone knows no squad is complete without a Krogan.
3. Thane - Total bro loved chatting with him in ME2 bonus points for kicking Kai Leng's ass even though he was dying.
4. Kasumi - Had the best DLC imo in ME2 freaking loved her character total BFF wish she had more screen time in ME3.
5. Jack - Tells it like it is and hates Cereberus as much as I do plus her catchphrases are golden. I WILL DESTROY YOU haha.
6. Mordin - Just like Krogans having a Salarian imo on the squad is mandatory he also worked with Kirrahe and the STG which solidifies his badassery.

God I wish we could have chosen our team in ME3.

1. Kaidan - for smokin' hottness and REAVE
2. Zaeed - basically a Krogan, but has inferno grenades
3. Garrus - I don't feel I have to explain this
4. Kasumi - shadow strike, and generally an awesome character
5. Jack - the psychotic biotic, man I missed her in ME3
6. Miranda - Warp and overload? Yes, please! Also I want her to get in fights with Jack who I'm also bringing back. Can you imagine the dialogue on any Cerberus mission? It would be epic.

1.Ashley - Interesting dynamic with Shepard post Horizon.
2.Miranda - Former Cerberus 2IC to help take down TIM.
3.Javik - Prothy the Prothean.
4.Garrus - MaleShepard's best friend.
5.Legion - Provide Geth prospective on the war for Rannoch without tedious romp through Geth Consensus.
6.Gillian Grayson - I feel Jack was a rip off this talented kid biotic. Gillian may have held the most unique perspective of anyone in the trilogy. Like Jack, Cerberus manipulated her up bringing, but she was also autistic (or thought to be), lived in hiding on a Quarian ship, and during the events of ME3, is still very young. What happened to her guardian, Paul Grayson, is it's own mini-drama. I wish she'd survived the events of Deception.

And really, I don't need or want anyone else. So, might as well go make them useful somewhere else since they'd never suit up and leave the ship. I'd run a skeleton crew. Shepard, Thane, Javik, Joker, EDI (without a body), Engineer Adams, and Dr. Chakwas.

2. Jack - Jack would be the main biotic of my team. It'd be worth it just to hear her opinions on everyone else.
3. Grunt - My krogan foster kid! We need our krogan back and Grunt has no reason not to be on the team.
4. Ashley/Kasumi - Ashley if she's done right, if she's just like she was in ME3 then I'd replace her with Kasumi
5. Kirrahe - I assume he'd know some tech-ey skills, which would round out my team. Plus, I just love salarians, I'd love to get to know him a little better.
6. Javik - I feel like he needs to be there and see it through.

-Thane - Neck Snapping Assassin always beats pawns
-Kasumi - A theif/assassin/tech, what more could someone want if they have a Kasumi and a butt load of creds? Anybody?

Pretty much.

Got about 5 biotics (including me) and 2 techies. Seems balanced enough since two of my biotics (Grunt and Wrex) are also heavy hitters.

2. Garrus - I can't leave my turian bro behind! And Armor-piercing ammo + Overload + Mattock = Win

4.Samara - The level-headed Justicar you can always talk to)
5.Mordin - "I'm the very model of a Scientist Salarian" nuff'said + Incinerate is a nice bonus too)
6.Legion - Consensus reached: This platform is the greatest A.I. in the galaxy)


These round out my Infiltrator rather well combat-wise. And storywise these were the ones i got most attached to.

/Miranda, Tali and Jack are extremely close to being on this list but since we could only pick 6....

Ah dammit, give me all of the squadmates back already!
