Just Javik because I love him to pieces!

1. I pick Tali on my arms and cuddle her.
2. Garrus for squadleader while Shepard cuddles Tali. Shepard still tells Garrus what to do.
3. Thane, Wrex or Grunt as second in command
4. Javik - good soldier
5. Samara - good justicar ^^
6. Zaeed - thats goddamn suicide

1. Liara - She's a biotic whirlwind. And my main Shep's LI.
2. Wrex - The original badass. No squad is complete without a krogan in it.
3. Garrus - Because he's basically the Chuck Norris of Mass Effect.
4. Legion - "Shepard-Commander." Enough said.
5. Thane - Because assassins are just plain awesome.
6. Mordin - Funniest. Character. Ever.

These six aren't in any specific order, they're all equally my favorites.

Miranda - liked her powers in ME2
Samara - same as above (and if biotic - detonations everywhere)
Grunt - he's sooo cute when he charges, and a good tank
Legion - a slightly cooler tech than Tali or Kasumi
Thane - cool powers in ME2
Garrus - I need someone to overload and shoot things

VS - just feels wrong to be completely left out.
Miranda - cos i need a cheerleader
Garrus - there won't be shepard without a vakarian thing
Liara - your biotic god(ess)
Grunt/Wrex - same thing as VS, feels wrong without a "wrex"/"grunt"-"shepard" conversation (vega is good but he aint krogan)
Legion - your handy dandy geth operative

1. Garrus. Out of all the companions, I trust Garrus to watch Shepard's back the most. He's the loyal brother-in-arms. I agree with most of what he says about missions or life in general. He was kinda weak in ME1 but he kicks ass in ME2/3.
2. Wrex. Total badass. I like his war stories. I like Krogans.
3. Ashley. ME1 LI. Very capable in combat.
4. Miranda. ME2/3 LI. Can fill the biotics role.
5. Mordin. He makes me laugh.
6. Tali. She's like my Shep's little sister. I like Quarian culture.

I think that's a pretty balanced team. I'd take Wrex and Garrus on most combat missions, occasionally rotating Ashley or Miranda in to keep it interesting. Mordin and Tali can stay on the Normandy and take care of the science and technology stuff. Ashley and Miranda can split time in Shepard's quarters

Special mention for Javik and Samara who both just missed the cutoff.

I was pretty happy with the returning characters in ME3 (Liara, Garrus, Tali, Ashley). I didn't mind Vega or Javik but I'd have preferred to see old characters return. Personally I would have went for Miranda and Morinth, so my list (no particular order) would be:

 I didn't even realise we were 'promised' a resolution to the Samara incident.  Now I'm annoyed too 

Between that and the Morinth incident, now I'm really annoyed.

1) Tali: Just cause, Talis voice and charm is one of a very few rays of hope and light. And shes damn sexy and hot lol
2) Garrus: Minus the talimance, he's a true friend to either shep
3) Kal'Reegar: A true Soldier to the end, better then some.. *coughvega*
4) Kusumi: The most intresting human in mass effect minus shepard.
5) Joker: Ok he'd limp everywhere and suck in combat, but his witty comments and sarcy remarks would well and truely make up for it.
6) Zaeed: He puts the god damn in the god damn.

1)Tali - because I love the character overall.
2) Kasumi - Thought she was awesome and would have loved to expand on the character more. oh and two words: Shadow Strike.
3) Javik - Was an excellent dlc character and had some great dialogue throughout the game.
4) Kal'Reegar - I just thought he was cool and a kick ass Quarian soldier.
5) Wrex/Grunt - need a Krogan bro on the squad to toss enemies around, and rampage the battlefield. lol
6) Thane -  great character that should have gotten more time to shine.  In a group of talkative squaddies it's nice to have one that let's his skills do the talking for him.  That fight sequence was nice.

1. Garrus - LI, favourite character and hell of a sniper.
2. Legion - I loved him in ME2 but sadly we got him too late. I want moar Legion
3. Javik - Good biotics and better dialogue.
4. Tali - She's with Shepard both ME1 and ME2 so it's fare if she's in my squad now.
5. Wrex - Just like old times... Wrex & Garrus
6. Matriarch Aethyta (Liara's father). I want a badass matriarch in my squad.

1. Garrus- Do I need to explain?
2. Liara- It's Liara, that's why
3. EDI- Sexy robot body or no...she was still a good addition to the squad
4. Javik- All around good foil to the rest of the team and provides valuable insight
5. Jack/Miranda- They were probably the best handled ME2 squadmates in 3, except for Mordin and Legion who should NOT be squadmates. I'd prefer Miranda since Jack has other obligations in ME3. Miranda's all gung ho about her sister.
6. Grunt- Didn't like him in ME2, but loved his brief appearances in ME3. I think he actually could have great potential as a squadmate now.

1. Ashley - My fav character/LI. Nuff said.
2. Jack - I need my psychotic biotic!
3. Wrex - I promised him once a fish from the presidium and besides, who doesn't like Wrex?
4. EDI - She's such a great character, I love conversations with her, about human being, human behaviour and so on, so on.
5. Mordin - We need on board someone who can sing and run some tests on seashells, right?
6. Legion - Someone needs to watch my back with Widow, also, might come in handy when computing Pi.

1.Tali- Not just because of LI but because she can sabotage mechs and turrets and her energy drain can take out both shields and barriers. Also because her drones can distract much tougher enemies.

2.Garrus- Can't see me having a squad without him. His overload is extremely useful and who else can use a Sniper Rifle like him...maybe Legion but that's it.

3. Mordin: Every ship can use a good doctor and it definitely helps when said doctor can hold his own in a fight.

4. Grunt: The epitome of rage and destruction. Watch his part in ME3 with loyalty from ME2 if you need anymore reason.

5: Jack: Team her up with a powerful Vanguard like my Shepard and the result...a lot of dead Cerberus.

To be honest...this would be all I need.

1. Miranda. Because it's Miranda! The smartest, coolest, sexiest woman around. Plus, the more renegade-like characters are always interesting to bring along, especially given all the potential with the Cerberus situation and the other alien races' shady stuff coming to light.
2. Mordin. Always love his banter, and he was the useful tech guy
3. Garrus. Even though he became The Punisher when I spent a long time in ME1 teaching him NOT to become The Punisher, he's always been a cool guy. I like his dry with and attitude
4. Grunt. Wrex is busy leading, while Grunt can be busy fighting. Always need a krogan.
5. Jack. You need a powerful biotic, plus the interplay with Miranda with the whole Cerberus thing would be great.
6. Zaeed. Got to have an English guy and his abilities almost round out the team.

regarding the poor character treatement like what happened with morinth, yet another lie concerning samara as a li, the conspicuous abscences of giani parascini and shiala, etc. they just keep saying ohhh the games so big as is w so many characters. bla bla bla....dont buy it u guys have always been about detail before, me 3 is just slightly longer than me 2, and you started me 3 production bf me 2 even released!

And they also had time to develop new characters that a lot of the community couldn't give two hoots about.

My Shep that attempted Samara romance would have been perfect too, she'd already decided that once the Reaper threat/war was sorted out, she was out of the military to seek something new.  So idling around the galaxy with Samara would have been great for her.

I choose based on an e-mail response from each person on board. Anyone typing in all caps is benched for 2 missions. Unfortunately this leaves Grunt out occasionally when he forgets, but it’s OK ’cause I prefer to keep my little tyke safe.

3.Wrex or Grunt:Liked them both, would be happy with either one.
4.Thane: Every squad needs black ops.
5.Mordin:Every squad needs that guy that nobody's too sure about.
6.Liara: Was like the little sister who you can get things off your chest with.

Would like Legion and Tali on board just for the story line, but didn't really use them at all.
