All of that stuff was just viral marketing for the cgi announcement trailer at the VGA's. Don't read too much into it.

This is all really interesting stuff. However, could the last line of "London Calling" be hinting at the synthesis ending?

"I never felt so much alike [fading] alike alike alike"

I'm pretty sure this was BioWare trolling everyone. The red herring at the end probably was intended to mean that they threw you off trail with all the codes and you just wasted your time. BioWare from this then realized how fun it is to troll people and gave us the ending of ME3.

Interesting if true, but as I've said (and heard said) elsewhere, the evidence we've seen since release just plain points to the idea that BioWare didn't put enough thought into the ending for this to be the case.

What's sad is that, no matter what, this cannot be verified at this point. If BioWare uses the IT, there's no way they can convince everyone that it's what they intended all along. Their silence, and the fact that they actually had to recall in the voice talent, suggests that the ending we saw is what they had intended all along.

The "Final Hours" app states they were changing the ending up until the eleventh hour, so I doubt that could even hold slight relevance. Sorry.

Oh look, we've already got trolls and delusional anti-IT rejecters. Don't mind them to much, they're new to the franchise.

For the love of.... I think they duped us. The red Herring sold me.

This probably proves that Bioware = The Biggest Troll Company

For the love..... I cant explain it in text....

Except for that one with the yellowy eyes

Prothean.

Or Harbinger.

The Prothean Reaper aka Harbinger.

Harby is not a prothean reaper, it's said in ME2 that they probably failed to make a prothean reaper and therefore made them inte collectors instead of processing them.

Originally, people thought these clues were meant to point us toward a new strategy game, like Halo Wars for Mass Effect
And people thought the red herring were the clues, and *voila* the trailer ended up being Mass Effect 3, in London, like the Clash song.
Could be nothing more than relevant to the 2010 reveal trailer, but the Aequitas thing is...problematic....

EDIT: less probematic than once thought....was probably a hint towards a Mass Effect planet, Aequitas.
But why is this a red herring....people guessed it at the time?
This is what Mass Effect has turned into....cry.

Thanks for the info, OP. This is pretty interesting, especially since I support the Indoctrination Theory.

I can understand why some are skeptical of stuff like this, but I find it really rather interesting.
Was totally expecting all the usual suspects to turn up and flame the thread though - they arrived on cue and actually a little quicker than expected
However, we've got through nearly two pages and nobody's said "artistic integrity" yet, so that's something.

Because very few people have joined the dots...

I give it an hour or so before someone deletes this.

They must make no one know of what was found here! NO ONE!

Interesting, how that particular ME2 sidequest isn't hard to remember. I remembered it for the ridiculous number of husks rather than the indoc device.
Maybe BW wanted the mission to stand out.

While interesting, I still think the game we got is what Bioware "wanted" to give us (once EA intervened and told them what to do).

There really is no secret meaning or troll attempt here. They just flat out dicked everything up.

No, they wont delete this because if they did then we would really know that something is fishy (PUN INTENDED).  Besides, not everyone is going to believe this.  They will say that OP is trolling or make up something to counteract this.

...... That was a joke.

Anyways, this was a really nice find. In a way, they still might make something less fishy (Horrible Pun Intended).
I never remembered doing this mission, so I cant say anything. Maybe.... JUST MAYBE, I smell a $20,000 DLC coming along.

As long as Bioware gives me my cake

Taking the clues as they are, I reckon it fits into IDT pretty well

Clues:

1&2: Location of an indoctrination device.
3: ??? (Not sure what to make of the MI6 thing)
4: The war will be decided in london.
5: It's a trick.

Doesn't require too much reading into, really.

This is probably why Bioware is so frustrated. People have underestimated them to the point of reducing ME3 to completely nonsensical writing, when we ALL know it was out of character for them in the first place. Excellent post; perhaps a few people will see this and stop being so shortsighted. A tall order, I know, but I guess that's what you get when you cater to CoD-type gamers. I can't wait for EC!
